All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

Listening to Pete and Paul kinda bicker back and forth on the fan. Pete is ‘not having it’ with the PA opinion attitude today

This defensive line is trash.

The gophers and vikings are mirror images on the defensive line.

Wentz did nothing right on the final drive.

He should have been intercepted, he held the ball too long on the offsides penalty, and he held the ball too long on the grounding penalty when he had a chance to get rid of it. He stinks.

That's why he's a backup.

kelly out with another concussion eval
Good lord.

Such a bummer. This was the riskiest signing, and it is going south.

Guy has to retire. Will that save us cap space, somehow? Doesn't seem fair to us that he can't stay healthy

If O'Neil is an ACL it might be too much to fix. But otherwise they need to trade for a center.
Disagree, because so much of the NFL is still 40 fronts.

So that means Center often does not have a 1-on-1 DL block duty, and can help out with a Guard on a 1-tech or go out to block a LB.

That's the one position on the OL we can afford to play a backup.

The others ... nope.

Skule is liability. You can't leave him 1-on-1 with much of anyone. Brandel isn't bad

I won't find any posts of you celebrating the IDL signings from the offseason thread?

This is ringing hollow ...

21-24 game, on the road, in the NFL. Any way you slice it that still pretty good.

Overcoming what we have to ... I ain't abandoning the season yet.

Looks like that puts me in rarified air around here

The Vikings losing is bad in and of itself is bad.

The game was at neutral site which is different than being on the road l. The Vikings were 2.5 favorites and -$142 on the Money Line.

They also sustained several injuries that will impact the 2nd half of this trip to the British Isles.

It was a good opportunity, missed.

That's not "pretty good". It sucks.

I'm not abandoning hope at securing the 6th or 7th Wild Card Seed.

A loss next week though and the math could get out of hand pretty quickly after their return from across the pond.

Hyper-inflated negativity seems to the MO here

This was not a neutral site, it was a Pittsburgh home site. They had Pittsburgh PA guy over there hyping the crowd up for every big Vikings 3rd down (to stop the Vikings). Ton of loud & drunk Steelers fans there, it appeared.

It's 5 hours ahead of Eastern time, a jump across the pond. Not like it was in India

And -- because of course he isn't -- Rodgers is/was not washed. For sure some throws he wish he could have back, but he did plenty enough to win the game on offense.

His QBR was 38.6 and he completed 2 passes over 10 yards downfield. He has 120 yards outside DK being a freak and housing one. Pittsburgh dominated both LOS today and it wasn’t close

Rodgers played fine today. That’s about it. They won though and that’s probably all he really cares about at this point in his career

I am sure the Steelers were just as unfamiliar with their surroundings as the Vikings. Additionally they were just as travel weary.

Looked like there were plenty of loud and drunk Vikings fans as well in Dublin. Would have been substantially fewer if the game was in Pittsburgh.

It was neutral and a generous scheduling break that Minnesota could not use to their advantage.

Bummer.

120 rating

Not sure why you chose to bring up QBR?

Sure, I'll go with fine. Certainly not washed up.

Wentz 30/46 350yd 2TD

Two ints that were tipped. Would be a 102.6 rating without the tipped Ints.

Playing with three OL starters out and from so far behind that we had to mostly give up on the run game.

Let's see what happens in London. Another tough defense. Then decisions to be made
