All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

Agreed. Think we can get by ok with JJ, Hock and Nailor, providing JJ is a go.
JJ will be good to go. He was coached by Harbaugh and he has great pieces around him. He is, arguably, practicing against a top 5 defense which is challenging in practice, but will be an advantage in games. The real question is what kind of an offensive line will he have to give him time to complete passes. An offense is only as good as the offensive line.

I meant Justin Jefferson, not McCarthy. My response wasn't clear.

It's pretty early, too early to be banging the alarm bells, but this summary on the backup QB situation is slightly concerning. Especially since I am a fully committed Sam Howell apologist/fan; I think he has time in the preseason to get things moving in the right direction.
I'm with you on Howell. With WAS, he did hold the ball too long at times but he had solid passing stats along with rushing yards that come with his mobility.

I'm confident he'll shake the rust off and be a quality backup QB for us.

It's only preseason, but Howell looks pretty good. And he should only get better in what's a new system for him as the preseason moves along. I didn't realize it before but Howell doesn't even turn 25 until next month.

Love to see UDFA Gabe Murphy having a great first half. This group does a pretty good job at bringing in contributing UDFA's like Ivan Pace. Murphy, McGlothern, and a handful of others already looking at being contributors for the Vikings.

this Justin Jefferson crap is so brutal.

Please, never again.
