Just going from memory, but I think Morneau's complaints were it was distracting when they would sway with a breeze as well as something to do with shadows/glare during day games instead of a traditional "batters eye".

I agree. Yeah we didn't get anything in return, but we got a lot of money off the books. It would make me feel better if I had any confidence they would reinvest that money, but still better to have Correa off the books.
I would say, "tough cookies" to Jax (and Varland if he did ask). Twins were their employer and were making good money to play a game.

Typical Souhan stuff. He follows enough to notice some folks are slightly annoyed at the trades and that the ownership is cheap and then he assumes that annoyance centers on Correa.
I actually believe them with this. I tend to disagree but the Varland move feels like a pure baseball move, it's just one I disagreed with.
If I am the owner/manager, the players I want to build around are the ones who would be pissed at the team having a firesale when they are only 5-6 games out. As a fan, I didn't consider us a contender and I wanted us to trade off pieces, but I would want players who would be pissed about last Thursday.
Agreed. The Varland trade feels like they just liked the return.
While on the surface I don't really get the Varland trade, there is something to be said for gaining a lefthanded Starting pitcher (Kendry Rojas) in return, if he is close to making it to the Show. The Twins definitely have that need.
