Should be an interesting line-up tonight. Guessing Julien at 1st, Fitzgerald/Lee at 2nd/SS, Lewis at 3rd and Larnoch, Wallner and maybe Rodon in outfield. We will see.

Edit: i was not very close.

I thought they would call up Toby Gardenhire. Not to Coach, but to be their Utility guy.

He's only 42 years old, not that far removed from playing in the Classic Cannon Valley League for the Miesville Mudhens.

Rumor has it the Pohlads loaded debt from their other companies onto the Twins. What a nice thank you for the new owners to pay off.

Is this true?

Speaking of new ownership, anybody heard any rumors on who it might be? Supposedly local.

Maybe, but probably if done not quite for the purpose of transferring that debt. Could be a tax shelter (no expertise, and would have to consult some

The financials will be audited. That means they’ll need to be consistent with GAAP; ithat means that the teansactions need to be checked for Arms length related party transactions.

There might be some complex layers that allow cash to be moved around; but someone sophisticated enough to buy a MLB teams has (or we should hope and pray) accountants that should see right through any transactional shenanigans.

Nailed it!

Well, apparently Lee has more range at shortstop than Correa right now.

According to Judd Zulgad, Correa is really struggling with his lack of ability to move well. Hence Houston moving him to third base.

I found it interesting that Correa was quoted as wanting to move to 3rd base. He really is overpaid if he is a low power, good glove 3rd baseman.

Zulgad was of the opinion that Correa is now breaking down physically, on the downhill side of his career. If he can no longer hit for power and has lost his range at SS, he would be a .260 slap hitter playing third base. Granted, he still has a great glove and a marvelous arm. A team like Houston can win with that combination.

The Astros certainly know him well, and they obviously wanted him back.
