Keeping those players here is going to determine the fate of the Gopher program going forward. It takes time for a new college coach to develop relationships with high school players, so there wasn't much Coach Dawn could do with the last two MN high school classes. However, the longer she's here, the more pressure there will be for her to keep those players at home. The commitments from Tori Oehrlein and Amisha Ramlall show she's working on it, but more are needed.
And maybe they can start punching above their weight and poaching some top 20-40 recruits from other states too!

1 NCAA tournament win for the Markowski era. A big disappointment. The Prince era may be better, despite the start today.
Thought Markowski a really fantastic player. Louisville missed a lot of threes but was able to get to and coral offensive rebounds. It's a game Nebraska could have won if they would have finished at the rim better on dribble drives. Nebraska seemed to have same issues as Gophers, not finishing off layups.
It would be interesting how things would have turned out had she not decommitted from SDSU. Her in a post rotation with Brooklyn Meyer would be tough to stop.
The way the story goes, Kendall Coley’s dad asked Amy Williams why she wasn’t recruiting Markowski, and that helped Williams to change her mind about a local Lincoln kid.
They gave Duke a real battle. Looking 4 some upsets this 1 would have been sweet.
