I heard that they went back and looked at Washburn McGreavey Funeral Homes and they haven’t ever actually given any money to the U Athletic Department. And since they have been saying they are a proud supporter of Gopher Athletics for the last hundred years, they owe like 3 million dollars.

When Mason was on with Barriero, eulogizing Bill (Bill Sr.) McReavey, he said that Bill Sr. had Washburn-McReavey take care of everything when Brandon Hall was killed in September 2002. It's not cash out of his pocket, but to a family, in shock and grief over the sudden death of a son, with no idea how to pay for a funeral, then stepping up like that is generous beyond measure.
