New 2025 committ

I'm very happy with this addition, especially late in the game. He doesn't have top end speed & played at low level of competition in HS. I still think he could be a good player for us, like Mo was. He may not have homerun speed so to speak, but you can have a great career hitting lot's of singles & doubles. Add in that he can catch the ball which we're utilizing more out of the back field, and he seems like a solid addition.

And LSU, according to some recruiting services, got 2025 commitments from the nation’s #1 and #5 running backs. RB was one of the recruiting strengths of LSU’s #3 2025 recruiting rank.

Ford was not a priority or need for LSU.

Mo and Donnell are bad comps, in my opinion. Neither Ibrahim nor Kirkwood would ever be split out wide like a receiver. This kid has undeniable pass-catching skills, judging by the highlight clips.

Much more like Taylor.
He looks and runs much more like Kirkwood than Taylor in my opinion. The pass catching does appear to be above average much like Taylor.

He's got quite the highlight reel.....no arm tackles, legs churning....Emmitt Smith size and speed (or lack thereof). Impressive.

Caveat---I clearly remember watching Ky Thomas's high school tape and thought we were getting the next Barry Sanders....so what do I know? LOL

Not to be a downer, but for perspective Ford also didn't get offers from La Monroe or La Lafayette & they are not bringing in the #1 & #5 running backs.

Tulane has been pretty good the last few years. Houston is a big 12 team and I am guessing he is a smart fella if the Air Force Academy is sniffing around. We are bringing in three backs, one maybe two will transfer out next year as the best one emerges. Everyone is a zero star once they show up for spring ball or summer work outs. Best of luck to Ford and will see who emerges in this class

He’s pretty slow. I’m guessing 4.8 or thereabouts. Not every good running back is a burner. My guess is they try to have this kid probably tighten up and lose 10 or 15 pounds and he’ll get a bit faster but he has skills.
