They have a NET of something like 70, yet the brain wizards still have them as one of the last four in. I don't get it.
 

While this should be called and is a pathetic move, it’s funny to see the fan base that defended Davison for years now complain about similar actions.

That's what badgers are there for. To get stomped on. Why else would they exist?
 



Wahl with kind of a dirty play. Awkward footwork on defense while trying to stop a clean look at the basket, kicks his leg out unnaturally and Michigan player gets hurt on the ensuing fall.
 

Don't anyone get their hopes up thinking Wiscy is going to miss the tournament this year. All the Badgers have to do is outplay a mediocre Michigan team here in the last 2 minutes here, beat a giant cupcake on the road, and they are guaranteed a 10-10 conference record. And they will probably beat Purdue this week with how badly Purdue is fading (and now over-rated) these last three weeks.

Purdue has a done a remarkable job blowing a sure tourney #1 seed. They are lucky that no Big Ten team is capable enough to steal the conference title away too.

Teams do play non conference games. Wisconsin was a completely different team to begin the year. One obvious missed call at the buzzer from beating Kansas. Their Q1+Q2 wins are (were) better than a lot of teams considered safely in the tourney. The reason their net ranking is so shitty is because of their offensive efficiency and barely winning vs terrible teams like UW-GB.

With all of that said, they're a shitty team who is seemingly both somehow over and underrated, depending on the metric. I said it earlier this month that the Gophers will beat them at the Barn and I'm sticking to it. They have no composure late in close games and I found it funny they arent fouling up 3 with 2 seconds left, especially with Dickinson getting the pass. I laughed at the thought of Gard getting canned, but holy crap he's either a moron or the team doesn't listen to him. I'm not sure what's worse.

I get that they won some impressive games in non conference but they're 12th place in a down big 10. They shouldn't even be in the discussion as far as I'm concerned.

It would absolutely make my day if the gophers could pull that one out.
 


Drake loses at Bradley (MVC had a lot of hometown reffing this year) so BU takes the MVC and auto-qualifier to the NIT. Really no impact on the NCAA as both teams probably required an MvC tournament win to get the birth. Maybe this a good wake up call to the Bulldogs and they win out like they should.
 


West Virginia takes down Iowa State in Ames. Gabe drops 26 but sat half of first half with three fouls while Cyclones lose a lead. Really good game.
