I may have rage issues

Have never really understood the whole righteous indignation of some folks who label others as "bandwagon" fans. Of course most folks are bandwagon fans. Why? Because for the vast majority of people, sports constitutes entertainment and a way to have some fun on a given afternoon or evening. And that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. And that's the case regardless of whether folks consider themselves "insiders" or just casual fans.

I'm sure there are some folks who find things plenty entertaining as is and are determined to stay till the end. But doing so doesn't reflect some kind of moral superiority.

+1 again. Brew quit, so did I. This is not really up for debate. I didn't pay a lot of money for my tickets to watch Brewster try to save face. I also thought it was ironic that Weber said in the press conference that he just wished they had a little more time because none of the players wanted to quit. I hope Brew heard that.

I want to believe Weber, but I got a little upset at the end of the third quarter when I saw Gray take himself out of the game. I think it was the ensuing drive after the kick return, and we were about midfield or close to it. On second-and-9, Gray was lined up in the slot and did a deep post route, but Weber went and threw an incompletion to the flat.

It's now third-and-9 and the Gophers were still in it. Yet Gray, who is supposedly the best player on the field, waves to the sideline to say he's coming out. The Gophers failed to make the first down. Don't you think if he wanted to win, he would have run back to the huddle for the next play? Gray is your top receiver and we're in an obvious passing down. And he's not on the field.

I think that showed me a little bit about Gray and the attitude of the team. Meanwhile, the USC players and jumping up and down on the sideline to that "Ooooh, ooooh, oooh" song between the third and fourth quarter to get fired up, while the Minnesota sideline was just standing around. That's when the Gophers gave up.

My opinion is the fans feed off the players. And when they gave up, the fans started to exit.

Your free to leave early, no one will stop you. But expect to be criticized. Funny how freedom works both ways, isn't it?

At least we aren't arguing about standing and sitting anymore.

I always stay, but that just because I enjoy my moments in the Bank and am going to tailgate after the game anyway as my way of beating traffic. I don't fault people for leaving early if that is what they want to do though. I'd much rather they leave early than spend the 4th quater booing as people leaving early does not affect my enjoyment of the game.

I don't think fans leaving early is the downfall of our program.

I stayed until the team stopped trying to win. Please explain to me why I should have stayed longer? I strongly support the program, I'm a booster, I paid a lot of money for my tix, etc. You're free to criticize, but why would you want to criticize me?

That's reading an awful lot into one play. There could be 100 reasons Gray took himself out. From what little we know of him, he's a great teamate and competitor.

Probably true, but Weber would be given no benefit of the doubt around here.

My kids didn't end up napping like I hoped. I decided to be respectful to the people around me that were putting up with two over-tired kids. I also was glad the guy who drank too much left instead of puking all over my family.

You're welcome! ;)
