I said that theses freshman are strait out of AAU ball, where defense is optional. They will become better defenders. Yet, you seem to expect the entire team to be playing great defense immediately. You are delusional.

I don’t expect them to play great defense. But they could play mediocre defense. To blame AAU when other freshman play good defense is laughable. It’s the gophers freshman playing bad defense. And they’re upperclassmen playing bad defense.

Other schools have freshman who play good/great defense. And upperclassmen that do as well. The gophers do not.

What other freshmen are you referring to, and are there multiple freshmen on the floor with those others?
I am interested in the process more than the present. You want these kids to be elite right now. Your bubble is burst and you don't know what to do.

I expected them to take last in the conference. I’m not asking for elite. But the defensive effort is atrocious.in what year can we expect them to try harder?

Plenty of teams play multiple freshman. You know this though.
 






Mn kids hated Pitino. Aau and hs coaches hated pitino. Ben hated pitino. Pitino really must’ve been an awful person.
