Gable is BACK!

To no one's surprise, Steveson wins the Big Ten individual title at HWT.

#2 seed from Iowa forfeited the final match due to injury.

I assume no one else in the country has any chance in hell of upsetting him at the NCAA's.

Do we think he was actually injured?

I guess I just don't understand the reasoning behind it.
Essentially a loss can cause you to have a lower seed and have a tougher path to the finals. Most of the time they are trying to avoid being placed in a bracket side with certain wrestlers. If you can game it right you can score your team more team points.

There are only 2 out of 8 wrestlers in the HWT quarter-finals that aren't from the Big Ten.

The #2 seed is from Arizona St and doesn't look like they've met on the mat too much. So maybe would be a semi-interesting final.

It'll be an interesting match up. They wrestled while they were in HS and Gable dominated the match up but that was a long time ago and Gable is a year older (makes a big difference at 16).

The semi-finals are tonight at 8.

Both semi-finals looked close from the scores. Steveson beats PSU's heavy, and Schultz (ASU) beats Lehigh's heavy who must have upset the Iowa guy in the quarter.

Championship tonight. Looks like they start at 6pm on ESPN. Not sure if heavy's go last? So maybe closer to 8-830pm for Steveson.

If you had to bet your life on something...is there anything you would feel better about betting on, than Gable in the match tonight?
