Jerry Kill - New Mexico State

Uffda. That program is awful. That said, its attractiveness might be on the upswing with NMSU moving to Conference USA. The West division is a good fit with several teams in TX/LA that are probably fertile recruiting territory.

Do we think there will there be any sort of tribute video for his return next year?
He seemed to have beef with Coyle and the way Tracy Clayes was fired in 2016. Not think he likes PJ very much.
Pretty sure Jerry set fire to every bridge he could. Highly doubt the U will celebrate his return. I am sure some fans will be thrilled to see him again while they pine for the good ole days.

NMSU is possibly the worst FBS job in the country. At least the weather is nice.

This would definitely bring some spark to an otherwise boring game.

What if he coaches from some sort of hoverboard contraption?
Jerry Kill riding a hoverboard.....now that is an image right there.....need one of our resident photoshop experts to make that a reality. :)

I know of a portly defensive coordinator available for hire.

Las Cruces is an interesting town and New Mexico State's campus has an old world charm.
Kill is a grown man who was able to seemingly control his seizures and fulfill both of his roles at TCU.
So why not give it a shot?
Who will be his DC? If it is Claeys that would be great fun.
Kill seems to have struck a nerve in some MN fans for being upset and speaking out about how Claeys was treated.
Kill did do some good things to wipe away the stain that Brewster left.

ol' jer' is a ball coach. it's who he is, it's in his blood. he turns boys into men and football is his vehicle. since 2000 the boys have been impacted at emporia state, southern illinois, northern illinois, minnesota, kansas state, rutgers, back at southern illinois, virginia tech, tcu and now potentially new mexico state. ol' jer' does this because this is his calling. he's a fix it guy. new mexico state needs fixin' and rebecca may give the green light because the boys need to be turned into men.

I see/saw all the parallels. Chronic pain and addiction destroy people/families.
Kill doesn’t want his health to stop him from doing what he loves. Only he and his family can make that decision. It’s his life. He doesn’t ask for anyone’s sympathy.
Yes, it is. If you're an assistant or an "advisor", etc., I would fully agree with you. But once you become a head coach of a program, it's more than just you. You are representing and leading a staff of 30+ people and 110+ players. When you bite off more than you can chew and have to quit mid-season, you are leaving your team high and dry. At some point, it becomes irresponsible and reckless when the situation is known ahead of time.
