Take the time to watch this and tell me this is not a guy who plans to be here for a long long time! Stop listening to the media hacks and start listening to what Fleck says, listen to the passion for the area. Obviously nothing is ever guaranteed but take heart and enjoy the fact that we have a head coach that truly wants to be here for the long haul and do something special.

Spot on!

That was an awesome video for so many reasons. I would love to have a coach here similar to the long-tenured greats at other schools that grew to be synonymous with their universities (Ferentz, Bowden, Alvarez, Snyder, etc.).

For us old-timers who remember back to the 70s, it is so refreshing to see the administration at the U have a positive attitude toward their sports programs.

The stars are aligned for Gopher Sports from the BOA, President Gabel, down to Mark Coyle.

This is great for recruiting!

This is home indeed PJ Fleck!

He is smart not to chase the money and glitter. This is the hire of a lifetime.
He’s tied for the 17th best paid coach in the Country. He doesn’t need to chase money. The program will continue to be relevant as long as he’s coaching.

Now the whole roster will be from Illinois in 4 years.
You good man? I’m concerned. You seem to have so many issues for a team you don’t care about. Doesn’t St Thomas have a board you can post on about your kids 8th grade stats and tell them how he is better than Spencer Rattler cause one time at summer camp he threw the ball through the tire and rumor has it spencer tried at a different camp and actually hit the nurse in the back?

Ken keller was no picnic in the late 80s either. Ffer wanted to be a midwest ivy league and thought sports were a distraction not a compliment to a university.

I would like to watch more Minnesota kids on my schools team. I can watch the Pros otherwise.

Then have better Minnesota kids and more that want to stay. Or find a new team.
Illinois produces more P5 talent than Minnesota. Many states do. If you want regionalized college age athletics start a new league. I’m sure it will be very popular.

Stop saying "my", please. I'll give you credit for carrying this bit on for 3+ years (since you realized your relative wasn't going to get a Gopher offer), but nobody actually believes you are a fan of the University of Minnesota.

New hobby or new material. You choose.

I think you could tap Minnesota for your big guys, OL and DL, that you can develop. Get speed from elsewhere. You can't teach speed.

Over 25% of the roster is from Minnesota. Seems like plenty to me. And I agree. Minnesotandoesnt produce enough receivers, DBs, RBs, etc even if you got them all.
