November is underrated because of Thanksgiving which also is a week off.

Schindler's List
The Bridge on the River Kwai and its seven (7) Academy Awards would like a word with you.

Best Vietnam Movies: Only those that took place in Vietnam.

1. Apocalypse Now - Brando
2. Full Metal Jacket - Kubrick
3. Platoon - soundtrack
4. Deer Hunter - Russian Roulette
5. Good Morning Vietnam - much much lighter

Good catch! Forgot about it. However, I'm not as big on the Pacific Theater movies. As you'll note, I only had one from there and that was the one I saw most recently (which I thought was very good - and bloody!).

Then you're probably not going to consider Tora! Tora! Tora!, which would be on my top 5. Every time I watch it, I like it better.

I'm also gonna throw in a plea for Sink the Bismarck--maybe the most forgotten and underappreciated WW2 film.

Top Five Sitcoms:

1. Seinfeld
2. Parks and Rec
3. Cheers
4. The Office
5. Schitt's Creek

Your list looks very similar to mine! I need to add Schitt's Creek to my watch list. My wife just watched the entire series without me and strongly recommends it.

Go Gophers!!

Trying to reduce a list down to 5 albums is almost impossible, but here goes (in no particular order):

Let It Bleed (Rolling Stones)
Beggars Banquet (Rolling Stones)
Europe 72 (Grateful Dead)
Doolittle (Pixies)
Led Zeppelin III

Top 5 Restaurants in the Twin Cities area:

1. San Pedro Café - Hudson
2. Revival - St. Paul
3. T Morris - Woodbury
4. Oceanaire - Minneapolis
5. Yangs - Woodbury

Top 5 Vacation Spots in the US:

1. Hilton Head, South Carolina
2. Miami
3. San Francisco
4. Sedona
5. San Diego

3. Platoon - soundtrack
4. Deer Hunter - Russian Roulette

Outstanding list. The top four belong on a top 25 "War Movies" list. Apocalypse Now is one of my top 2 or 3 favorite movies overall.

There are so many versions to choose from as well. Original, Directors Cut, Long version, short version...take your pick.

I did include Tora! Tora! Tora! in my list of sailors' movies above. I agree with you that the movie has aged well. When it was first released (I was in high school), it received mixed reviews so I never bothered to see it for many years. When I first watched it on TV, I was surprised that it wasn't better reviewed originally. I've now seen it a couple of times and I agree it stands up well to repeated viewing.

I did see Sink the Bismarck a couple of years ago. I think it may have been under appreciated because it was a bit dry in the British sort of way of that period. British cinema of that era also lacked the budgets of American films so that may have limited the film's possibilities somewhat with American audiences.

How can you choose between Zep III and Physical Graffiti? Any album with the song Tangerine on it has a huge advantage, but Graffiti has four sides...

I have always been a little bothered by the lack of crowd noise on Europe 72. Just made it seem like everyone in the crowd passed out. Otherwise a great album.

I'll start thinking of a top five Stones list.

I call major bias on your part to put SD first on the list! That being said, no Sin City? WTF!

San Diego may not be North America's most interesting city but it's my choice for the closest US city to heaven on earth (although the housing prices are a bit of an obstacle).

Top 5 Sports Teams of All-Time:

1. 2019 Gophers football
2. 1984-85 Lakers
3. 1998 Vikings
4. 1996-97 Gophers basketball
5. 1987 Twins

Top Tiki Bars in the U.S.
Personal experience opinion.

1. Mai Kai in Florida - The Meca. Good drinks. Huge. Full shows with meal.
2. Tiki Ti in Los Angeles - The oldest still going. Strongest drinks and very small.
3. Forbidden Island in Alameda CA. Best of the newer bars by far imo. Drinks are the best.
4. Hala Kahiki in Chicago. Old school. Drinks are meh but everything else makes up for it and then some.
5. The Foundation in Milwaukee. They are just awesome people there.

Well, we were limited to 5 albums! You could also say that Led IV (despite the overplaying of Stairway to Heaven), Led II, or even Houses of the Holy are very tough to eliminate. I think I went with Led III because of its sublime acoustic songs.

just finishing season 3. It is great stuff.

I just picked up Graffiti at a record store a couple of weeks ago for $10, so it has been in rotation lately. There are no wrongs answers as long as you don't include Presence. Never thought that one was a strong effort.

1. Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins
2. Nevermind - Nirvana
3. Rage Against the Machine (Self-Titled)
4. The Colour and the Shape - Foo Fighters

9. Sixteen Stone - Bush
10. Toxicity - System of a Down
