How did a guy at MSU Mankato win best HS QB?
It was a jab at a poster a few weeks ago who said that the MSU-Mankato was the best QB in the state overall.

That's the great thing about the GopherHole, i.e. English is not required. Actually nothing is really required. You can say anything without have any real knowledge about the subject. Isn't America a great country!
I think this post summarized GH as eloquently and simply as possible. Some days I love GH for the reasons listed above, other days I want to bang my head on my desk.
...and if Demry Croft got an offer from Oregon, you still think he'd commit, here?
Of course he wants to play here, were his only offers!
That was in....2008?
Plus, if Gray knew he'd almost never play QB here, do you think he'd still commit?
Since we are playing the what if game...if you told Gray that he would also play for 3 years plus (see how long) in the NFL after he graduated from the U...do you think he would care that he didn't play all that much QB? I am guessing Q feels pretty good about his life right now.
Anyone whohas seen Seth Green play knowshe'sthe best QB in the state. Those newspaper awards don't mean jack. I watched Seth Green at the Gophers summer camp before his SOPHOMORE year of high school and he was the best QB there before Perra, Wilkie, and Dimonic who were going to be seniors. He was offered that week by Louisville and later the Gophers. So don't tell me the Mankato kid is a better QB.
However, I don't think Oregon is going to work out for him in terms of becoming a starter at any position. I do think he will regret not staying home in a few years.
I've sen Seth Green play quite a bit and he is a legt D1 player now with an immense amount of potential. But there is absolutely no way he was a better QB in 2013 than Perra. You're the first person, who claims to have seen them both play, that I've ever hard make that claim. Perra was WAY better statistically playing with a lot less talent around him. He turned a very average Roseville team into a contender. Green played on an extremely talented East Ridge team that kind of underachieved.
Green deserves better offers than Perra. I'd rather have Green than Perra (even though I think Perra is a legit D1 QB). But that is based on upside. Perra was the better QB in 2013 and it really wasn't even close.
I just love Seth Green because he has 4 stars next to his name. 4 stars automatically means AA and Heisman material. Come and be Golden Seth
ESPN #35 overall prospect just commited to Oregon. A Quarterback. Do we get Seth now? Do we want him?

That's a 2017 commitment.

Seth Green decommitted from Oregon a long time ago. I'm not going to re-read this whole thread, but (at minimum) that fact is well known on all the paid sites. Yet another QB commitment doesn't change anything -- Oregon doesn't want him as a QB and he's not going there. And the fact that a bunch of other schools aren't jumping in to offer at QB should tell you something about where his stock is at now.
Interesting. According to 247 he is still commited to Oregon so maybe thats why no other schools are contacting him.

I'm sure schools are well aware he's available. The problem for Seth is that QB's commit early in the process and most schools will have their 2016 QB commit already. It'll be interesting to see how the next few months play out for him. He's interested in Minnesota, what's unclear is if Minnesota actually wants him.
This staff is not real keen on "daddy knows best" guys.
