I've tried to calm the anger toward GW at times because I've appreciated some of the scouting info he's brought on the basketball board. This, however is just blatant trolling with the sole purpose of drawing people to his sub-standard blog site (on which I haven't clicked in quite some time). He will no longer receive my tepid support. He is ridiculous and should just stick to the basketball scouting info or stay on the Marquette sites. I've officially lost patience with this punk and will no longer waste any time or energy thinking about him or his opinions. The goal of trolls is to generate an emotional response. GW will generate only indifference from me from now on.

GL - yes, that's the old section 3.6 -- $600k was and continues to be the base.. so, $600k x how many years he has let, but calculated up to the day.. now it's $600k for years remaining, with certain cutoff dates for when the $600k falls off.. just a bit more simple, IMHO.. small difference in buyout.

A well deserved extension. We want to keep him long term, and he wants to reward the loyalty of his coaches & staff who have brought stability everywhere he's been...

This is small potatoes to ask when we've languished for years in mediocrity.

Some of us were disappointed at first when we didn't get noted name coach like a Hoke or Golden or others. Little did we know Joel Maturi scored a home run hire. Not anymore! We are very fortunate to have him.

Let's keep him long term. Someday, we may need to hire a bronze artist. The TCG Bank Stadium needs a bronze statue to adorn the entrance when we win a national title someday.

Fun fact:

If Minnesota possesses Floyd, the axe and the little brown jug in the same year, Jerry Kill automatically becomes governor of the state. If he wins the B1G, it becomes a life term, with Limegrover and Claeys appointed as our two senators.

Seems like a fair deal to me. Go Gophers!

You missed a critical part of the deal where if they win the B1G Reusse pens an article slamming the U for not winning by a large enough margin and after publication his head explodes.
