Unsurprisingly, the top 2 most hated teams are WI and IA. But, I'm curious to find out who we hate most after those two teams.

So, who's #3? (Not including Maryland and Rutgers).

Please, please, please; someone vote for Illinois. The ultimate "snub" is to be hated by no one.

I would rank them in this order:

Teams I loathe:
1. Iowa
2. Wisconsin
3. Penn State
Teams I hate:
4 Michigan
5. Ohio State
6. Indiana (basketball wise mostly)
7. Michigan State (Izzo)
8. Illinois (B-Ball only)
The rest:
9. Purdue
10. Northwestern
11. Nebraska
12. Maryland
13. Rutgers

Michigan I suppose, but after IA and WI, everyone is pretty much the same.

I have a long-standing disgust with Ohio State, but it stems primarily from having connections in the state of Michigan.

I agree with one poster who mentioned that Maryland might become a school to be hated as I was disgusted with the obnoxious behavior I saw in their fan-base during last years basketball season. They may ultimately rise to the top as time passes on.

In the end, as I stated in the other thread, I can't think of many, if any, teams with their primary colors being red that I like. This is why the phrase, "Better dead than red" has such resonance within me. :)

I can never hate Ohio State after that glorious Alabama game. At least not for like 10 years.

Mine is a tie between Michigan and Nebraska.

Ohio State-obnoxious as hell, dumb fan base from all the front runners
Michigan-think they're relevant when they're not, smug
Penn St-cult of JoePa is flat out creepy

Nebraska

despite the fact I like tim miles

I am going to have to say its a tie between Michigan and Ohio State.
Nebraska has one of the most accommodating fan bases ever, if you travel to Lincoln. It might be in part because they think that they are above the Gophers and don't view us as any sort of threat. We will see after we beat them for the 3rd time in a row:D

It should be Michigan. But we've beaten Nebraska an equal # of times in the last 25 years, so...

Bleep Michigan, we're keeping the Jug.

I actually really like Nebraska. But they are the team I want to beat 3rd most.

You would think that Nebraska is South Dakota's state school with all the insufferable fans touting their red shirts and bumper stickers in this town. That is why they are number three to me!

I guess really cannot muster a whole lot dislike for any of the other Big Ten teams other than the Big 2, and I even like to see them win their Bowl games, but I will admit to some amusement at seeing Iowa State dominate Iowa in recent years, and Iowa losing to other lesser teams in the non conference season.

At the upper level I do like Penn State and Nebraska as well as all the "lower rung" teams.

That leaves Ohio State and Michigan, and there are many things to find annoying about both, but I still like to see those teams play well on the non Big Ten stage. Ohio State, no doubt has been very crooked over the years, and their ignorant Ohioan fan base, most of whom have no affiliation with OSU, glom on to it due the success it has had. The same is true of Michigan, other than the lack of crass corrupt leadership.

Michigan, or all it's arrogance does have a good amount of corruption, whether as blatant as at OSU, they still should have known what went on there at times. The other knock on Michigan is their whining, patrician fanbase, and the misplaced pride in the "Big House" and that attendance numbers.

The shots of the crowd in the second half of the Brown Jug game were priceless. I wonder how many of those people would be in the stands if Miichigan's football fortunes had mirrored Minnesota's post 1967. It is interesting that they rose from dead, exactly when Minnesota sunk.

1. Wisconsin
2. Wisconsin
3. Wisconsin
4. Iowa
5. Rest of BIG

I have visited all of them other than Maryland and Rutgers for football games and the best fans are Nebraska and penn state both fan bases are first class to vote for either of them as most hated would be unfortunate

Good question. The first two were really easy/obvious, but this one is more difficult.

I've always hated Michigan. I never liked Joe Pa or Penn State, but the slap on the wrist for the Sandusky thing makes me hate them recently. I can never feel good about Nebraska(84-13). How can I not hate Ohio State? So much potential hate to go around.

Gotta go with Michigan. I officially hate Michigan the third most.

Wait until we beat them this year, and you'll see the passive/aggressive Husker fans come out in full force. I married a Husker, and this year is going to be difficult.

Yep, they're way less friendly when little brother punches back.

Third biggest rivalry - Nebraska.

Third most hated? I dunno. They're all kind of the same to me after Wisconsin. I want to see the Gophers beat them all.

I used to be fine with Penn St, but man their fans have flipped that real quick. Have you interacted with any of their fans post 2011? The levels of delusion make Notre Dame fans look level headed.

Huh? Their President(Smart) founded what we call the BigTen Conference.

They've got a total of THREE national championships in those 120 years......and we aren't just talking about football.

FYI.....my post is mostly a joke. I don't mind Purdue at all. I guess it's just me.......but I've always seen them as an outsider.

I don't hate anyone other than the top 2 but I went with NW. Reason? Because every single thing about them is boring and stereotypical boring B1G Ten. Their field is ugly and boring, their uniforms are ugly and boring, I realize I avoid games in which their playing as much as possible because it just feels boring. Nothing says 'there are no good games on' like finding yourself watching a NW home game at 11AM. We've also had way too many stupid losses to them over the years so not only are they boring, they have a strong association with pain.

Are you bored, ole?
