You would think that Nebraska is South Dakota's state school with all the insufferable fans touting their red shirts and bumper stickers in this town. That is why they are number three to me!
I guess really cannot muster a whole lot dislike for any of the other Big Ten teams other than the Big 2, and I even like to see them win their Bowl games, but I will admit to some amusement at seeing Iowa State dominate Iowa in recent years, and Iowa losing to other lesser teams in the non conference season.
At the upper level I do like Penn State and Nebraska as well as all the "lower rung" teams.
That leaves Ohio State and Michigan, and there are many things to find annoying about both, but I still like to see those teams play well on the non Big Ten stage. Ohio State, no doubt has been very crooked over the years, and their ignorant Ohioan fan base, most of whom have no affiliation with OSU, glom on to it due the success it has had. The same is true of Michigan, other than the lack of crass corrupt leadership.
Michigan, or all it's arrogance does have a good amount of corruption, whether as blatant as at OSU, they still should have known what went on there at times. The other knock on Michigan is their whining, patrician fanbase, and the misplaced pride in the "Big House" and that attendance numbers.
The shots of the crowd in the second half of the Brown Jug game were priceless. I wonder how many of those people would be in the stands if Miichigan's football fortunes had mirrored Minnesota's post 1967. It is interesting that they rose from dead, exactly when Minnesota sunk.
