Big Ten Media Day begins tomorrow and the tweets should begin flowing today as players and media begin to arrive.

This thread will be a place to capture all of the updates and insight.

Tom Dienhart's 10 storylines to expect for Big Ten media days

1. Harbaugh mania!
You might have heard the news: Michigan hired Jim Harbaugh. The hype, anticipation and build-up of Harbaughpalooza even dwarfs the run-up to Christmas. Jimmy Boy and his khakis, ball cap and whistle seemingly have been in the news every day, whether fawning over Judge Judy, stirring emotions with his patriotic defense of “American Sniper,” going shirtless in a camp and showing his hipness by Tweeting to rapper Big Sean. Harbaugh is an indomitable force who America can’t ignore. So, don’t even try. Now, let’s see if he can win some games. I shudder to think what will happen if Harbaugh actually one day leads Michigan to its first Big Ten title since 2004. Harbaugh for President!

10. Wild, wild West
Ohio State is the overwhelming favorite to win the East Division—and the Big Ten. As much drama as a Road Runner-Wile E. Coyote cartoon, right? You want a cliffhanger? Check out the West. Whose gonna win it? Wisconsin figures to be the pick of most. But a good case can be made for Nebraska. Minnesota, too. Iowa? No, I’m not gonna go there. Bottom line: This is gonna be fun.

I think 2000 is going to be tough for him. Not because he isn't good enough, but they have too many weapons on offense so the touches will be spread around. Gordon was the biggest weapon for Wisconsin by far last year. Also, OSU will probably be playing in a lot of blowouts.

I think he means to say that if we do not lose to Wisconsin at home in 2013 we still would have controlled our own destiny in the last weekend at Michigan State.

Beginning of the day the Gophers were still alive. Still remember watching MSU and Northwestern praying for a miracle. They played at 11 and MSU won which technically eliminated them. Gophers-Badgers played at 2:30.

I remember the board excitement heading into the day. Sign of things to come in 2014.

Jerry better offer a correction or the media is going to eat him alive in Chicago.

Thanks for the clarification

How so? Minnesota finished 4-4 if they beat Wisconsin and MSU they end up 6-2 and State would have been 7-1.

Read carefully. Assuming NW beat MSU the day we played wisky, the gophers could have won out and tied MSU at 6-2 with a head to head win. It's a stretch, but still was possible when the gophers played the badgers in 2013.

I did read carefully. No where did coach Kill mention anything about MSU losing to NW. It was never mentioned in the post I quoted either. When reading Kill's quote it reads as if we beat Wisconsin we are in the b1g title game.

Media days are long days and someone is going to ask something about it. It would probably be best for him to clear it up ahead of time.

Thanks for looking out for him. Some people here are not capable of grasping the seriousness of this potential national disaster.

Look I never said at any point that this was going to be a national disaster. Media day is a little more than standing in front of the media and answering questions for 15 minutes. Kill will be doing interviews with radio stations who have a fan base of teams who play Minnesota. You think no one is going to ask him about it? It could become a meme to Iowa Nebraska or Wisconsin fans.

Preaching to the choir! The question is do you appoint Claeys as interim head coach or be bold and let Sawvel take the reigns.

STrib: Kill, three Gophers players in Chicago for Big Ten media days

Each team can bring three players, and Kill is taking quarterback Mitch Leidner, cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun and defensive end Theiren Cockran. It will be Leidner’s second appearance, as he joined departed seniors David Cobb and Cedric Thompson last year.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Leidner said. “It’s a good time. I don’t mind talking to the media.”

Boo-hoo. You brought up a ridiculous "controversy" and were rightfully teased for it. Take it like a man and don't pout.

I wasn't pouting. I just forgot to use my snarky font.

Yeah I remember last year around this time reading a 247 article on the top 5 players at each position. Maxx wasn't even in the top 5 TEs, lol.
