I won't be posting a Sports Huddle summary tomorrow because of a family commitment. A family friend from Prior Lake is visiting and we're having a gathering in Des Moines at mid-morning. As a result, I won't be able to listen to the Sports Huddle. Hopefully someone will step up and post a report, or you can listen to Killjoy's weekly posting of the podcast of the Jerry Kill segment.

Go Gophers!!

Go Gophers!!

Son of a... I mean, have fun with friends and family DL :)

I caught Coach Kill on Sports Huddle late.

It sounds like they have a tight rein on academics. Kill emphasizes academics first before playing time. He has ingrained it in the culture.

The academic staff & respective coaching staff meet weekly on Mondays by positions to report on the progress of each player.

Problem or troubled cases go to Coach Kill, and gets resolved in a timely manner.

Coach Kill stressed the importance of players getting their college degrees, and the abundance of opportunities for employment around here after college.

No one can replace DH, but this is a nice recap and I thank you much for the summary.

I certainly couldn't replace his accurate and extremely well written recaps. Enjoy your day, DL! Stoa, stay off your bike so you don't have one of those Kerry things going on.
