I don't think we have to worry about the Barn filling up. I had just called to get tickets for a friend, and everything is sold out, except for obstructed view seating. You aren't able to get student single tickets, until the day of the game...but if they really have sold 2K+ student seats, there won't be many left.

I think the key will be to make sure if you can't go, that you give away or sell your ticket. It would stink for the announced attendance to be 14K, and only have 9K bodies in there.

The # of tickets sold was never going to be the issue.

Seeing as we've been averaging around 12K for the game, that leaves a few thousand to sell. That means that non-season ticket holders are purchasing seats, so the time change must not have been an issue for most of them.

I do understand that there will still be an issue of re-distributing the tickets that people cannot use. I get that.

Are you bringing cookies to the game? A double batch for Tommy?

If I can't get a last minute killer deal to Phoenix, I'll be there! I was thinking more putting my phone number on a cake for him. ;)

Don't question The Barn. He has a blog. He's an expert.

Remember there are quite a few obstructed view seats in the Barn. Only having those left pretty much means they have sold out the upper deck ends. Because those are the only non-season ticket clear view seats anyway.

I'm honored

Since you can't go with Izzo you may as well go with the next best thing to see Izzo.

There are more than enough band wagon jumpers in this town who have the day off to sell 2,000 tickets, or at least I would certainly hope so.

I hope I'm wrong and we cram more people into the barn than can actually a fit, I'm just don't think that will be the case. If the game was at 5 those tickets still would have sold, and there would probably be a lot less empty yet sold seats.

The place will be full.

Tru dat. If I can't go with my real crush, may as well go with my #1 non-sexual crush. Will you bring the edamame?

Don't we know it, he makes this know everyday! I do agree, I think it will be full too...not packed, but full and hopefully LOUD!

If I were a betting man

I'd bet the ranch it will not be full. Just no way considering the different circumstances. ... date of game, time of day (most important), students gone (also significant), recent past history (we haven't been filling the place much, even for Big 10 games). Perhaps near full, but there will be plenty of empty seats. The main thing is the people that are there need to be into it to make up for the crappy start time.

If the "Al McGuire corners" are occupied, I hope to be back here eating crow after the New Year, as well as celebrating the Gophers' 1-0 start in the Big 10.

Go ahead and show me where I have done that.

I would, but I don't have time to link that many posts. It's only my opinion, but the majority of your posts are very know-it-all and condescending. I'm not speaking for anyone else, just myself. I also believe that you were MinneapolisOle on the old board, since your blog is linked, and I believe I called you out a number of times, and gave numerous examples.

There isn't any causal relationship implied anywhere that I am aware of.
I'd be who I am without the blog, but I would just post more often.

We finally agree, you'd still be the same kind of poster with our without your blog. I was agreeing more with TJ's statement about you being an "expert."

I don't see a lot of other folks around here apologizing for their oppinions and acting as if they are wrong. If I think I am right about something I will defend it and expect others to as well. That being said, there will be no more than 13,000 people at this game. Hey, something tangible to disagree about!

Unfortunately, there may not be a definitive answer...as it will be all of us just eyeballing to see how many people we think are there. Sometimes, I do wish they would count number of tickets used, not just sold...until then, it will still be a subjective argument! Haha.

I was actually going for the most difficult # of people to estimate. If I had said 47 people, well, what would there be to argue about?
