A fairly light week for our former Gophers with some out on a bye and others hurt, but rookies Terell Smith and Jordan Howden played very well in both of their teams victories. After being signed last week, Tanner Morgan was cut from the Minnesota Vikings practice squad this afternoon.
Terell Smith had the best game of his early career in the Bears first win of the season. He had 6 tackles (3 solo) and 1 Forced Fumble/Fumble recovery. He has 21 tackles (13 solo) 1 FF/FR, and 2 passes defended so far this season.
Jordan Howden had 1 tackle (1 solo) and 2 passes defended in the Saints shoutout of the Patriots. Howden has 5 tackles (2 solo) and 2 passes defended so far this season.
Antoine Winfield Jr. was off this week with a bye. AWJ has 31 tackles (15 solo), 2 sacks, 2 FF/FR, and 4 passes defended so far this season.
Boye Mafe was off this week with a bye. Mafe currently has 8 tackles (5 solo) and 2 sacks so far this season.
Ko Kieft was off this week with a bye. Kieft has appeared in every game this season.
Rashod Bateman had 1 catch for 8 yards. Bateman has 8 catches this season for 67 yards so far this season.
Daniel Faalele played on special teams in the Ravens loss to the Steelers. He has appeared in all 5 games so far this season.
John Michael Schmitz missed this weeks game against the Dolphins with a shoulder injury he suffered last week after starting the first four games of the season.
Devondre Campbell missed his second straight game with an ankle injury. Campbell has 22 tackles (11 solo) so far this season.
Blake Cashman had 9 tackles (3 solo) in the Texans loss to the Falcons. Cashman has 17 tackles (6 solo), 2 passes defended, 1 interception, and 1 FR.
Eric Murray had 1 tackle (1 solo) in the Texans loss to the Falcons. Murray has 13 tackles (8 solo) and 1 forced fumble so far this season.
Benjamin St. Juste had 3 tackles (3 solo) and 2 passes defended in the Commanders loss to the Bears. BSJ has 24 tackles (16 solo), 1 FF, and 3 passes defended so far this season.
Jack Gibbens had 10 tackles (3 solo) in the Titans loss to the Colts. Gibbens has 40 tackles (16 solo) and 1 pass defended so far this season.
Carter Coughlin had 1 tackle (1 solo) in the Giants loss to the Dolphins. He has 3 tackles (3 solo) so far this season.
