Zook's Future at Illinois

He's a 147 years old. He might want a couple of years to write his memoirs. Or sadly, nature might force retirement. I don't see PSU fading anytime soon regardless. How much of the heavy lifting do we think JoePa still does? My guess, not too much.

The day JoePa must retire from Penn State will be a very sad day indeed, for the college football world. It would be just if nature would allow JoePa another decade or so. What a beloved man.

It would be nice to see him go out on top. He has been great for the game and great for the Big Ten. He brings a lot of class to the table and has been a credit to PSU for a long, long time.

Joe Paterno was 3-9 and 4-7 in back to back years in 2003 and 2004. He survived:)
Ha. Probably because Paterno the last five years has been to coaching what Milli Vanilli was to singing.

For sure. He is a figure head. No game-planning from him and very little gameday input. Last year when he was injured, he didn't even go to the locker room at halftime. He stayed in the press box for all of the games and didn't even have headsets on for much of the games.

That said, he is a very valuable figure head.
