Your failed predictions?

Jayson Walton looks incredible after his sophmore season. I thought he was on the way to being an all-american. I also thought Sam Jacobson was the biggest signing and he was a sure star. He was more of a complementary player on a very good FF run...

So the Lakers spent a 1st rounder on a complimentary college player?

I think it was actually 2000 when Mark Few led the Zags to the Sweet 16 and lost to Purdue in Albuquerqe. In fairness, I agreed with the statement at the time.

They'll have an off year one of these decades.

They say the mind is the first thing to go, Ope. The years are all blending together.

Jim Peterson

Here's my best failed prediction. I never imagined Jim Peterson would have had the successful pro career he did. (oh those painful clutch freethrows at the U)

I predicted Rodney Williams would learn how to dribble during his senior year.... Oops

After his freshman season, I was convinced Courtney James was an NBA lottery pick in the making.

I thought the 1997 Final Four season signaled us becoming, if not a Kentucky, Arizona or North Carolina level program, at least a team in the next tier of schools. That would mean regular rankings, perennial NCAA bids, Sweet 16 trips, and another Final Four at some point.
