If by the off chance you get lucky & upset Nebraska & go to the Rose Bowl, which I really doubt will happen,

I love Minnesota and everything Gopher, and loathe anything Badger-related, but calling out a team as an embarrassment, that is headed to the conference championship game (albeit due to postseason bans), that has beaten us every year for almost the past decade, and been to six Rose Bowls since we've been to one is asinine.
 

Oregon isn't playing in the Rose Bowl, Beano

Totally agree. While they definitely backed into the championship game they still finished with 4 Big Ten wins and beat us head to head so it is pretty stupid to rip on them considering they are clearly better than us this year.

Stick with the standard stuff: This will be the first bowl trip for Wisconsin in quite a while that the student managers will finally feel safe.
 

Since you asked, I'll play. Mostly because thinking about your school makes me feel substantially better about our disaster of a season.

First, the whole country is accutely aware that Minnesota has some kind of an abbusive, chronically ill coach who lookes like a baboon scrotum gone septic. He recruits terribly and now anyone he does get the chance to talk to is a) affraid that they will get abused during the session or b) will need to call 911 at some point during the visit.

We had the worst season we've had in a decade and we are still one neutral site win away from a 3rd Consecutive Big Ten Championship.

We are about to sign what will be by far the best recruiting class we've ever had at Wisconsin.

We regularly steal commits with Minnesota offers from your state. Sometimes we even steal ones that have already committed to you once they get a Wisconsin offer.

When you say, "we", what role do you play in stealing commits? I'd like to know, so that I could somehow help my favorite college football team perform at a higher level. I know that I could use the ego boost that I'd surely get by bragging about the results of athletic events that I did not participate in. Thanks.

It was certainly a very disappointing season as a badger fan. I think what was most frustrating was that in each of the Badger's losses the games were there for the taking and Wisconsin couldn't get it done.

On the positive side (for badger fans), it couldn't have happened at a better time. As was mentioned earlier, all we have to do is beat Nebraska at a neutral site (well, it will probably be like 80% husker fans) to win a third straight Big Ten Championship. Sure, it won't be as nice as the last two were, but as a fan I'll take three straight B1G championships any day.

Good luck to the gophs in their bowl game. I hope Kill can bring the gophs to a point where UW vs Minnesota is a big time game nationally.

Very very mature of you to say what you said about Kill, but you're a badger fan so nobody is surprised by that. Nice you stole Keelon Brookins (so far) who has torn his ACL at least twice. Is jump around even a tradition? How long has it been around? We know it got voted #1 because Badger fans have nothing better to do than vote it #1 1000 times anyway. The original poster was repudiated for his asinine statement by ten Gopher fans before you entered the fray and went down in the muck with him. I wouldn't be surprised if you start a thread on Buckyville talking about "how stoopid those Goofer fans are" based upon one fan who got shouted down by the others.

Also, surprisingly enough Cobra did not denigrate BB in his post, but you couldn't help but take shots at Coach Kill. Classy. Take some notes from MN Badger guy on how to respond to a silly post from a rival and make it look even sillier. In comparison, you make Cobra look like the classiest guy on the block.

Question for Cobra. Would you rather go to back to back Rose Bowls (and possibly a third) and lose, or not go at all? I'll take the former.

That's what the trolls do. There could have been 100 posts stating that the OP was an idiot, and he still would have acted like that was the opinion of all Gopher fans. In this case, it's essentially a troll responding to a troll.

As for this thread, I don't think its right to down play Wisconsin achievements this year going to Indy. Sure they would have liked to win their last two games to say they deserved to go but face the facts they didn't win those game. They are going because the other two programs had problems and Bucky was clean from NCAA sanctions. The cleanest program with the most wins in the Leaders division went. I much rather go to a bowl game and lose then not go at all.

You sound like OSU fans saying this and that is far from true. OSU in not invincible and Wisconsin packs more than enough punch to knock OSU out. Moreover, their is always a chance that if OSU goes to a title game, Wisconsin can go to the Rose Bowl. See 07' when michigan did it, 08' when illinois did it too.

Ah yes, the "enjoy it now, ohio state will crush you forever after" spiel. Been hearing it since 1994. Hasn't happened, but keep putting all your hopes and dreams into it, it's always funny for us.

My, my Gopher silly season kicked off mighty early this year! Looking forward to the rest of the exciting predictions and projections of Wisconsin's impending downfall and Minnesota repeating Alvarez's miracle for the next 9 months until, like every year, the actual football season starts and you look like fools.

Let the fun begin!
