24. Drake Lindsey, QB, Minnesota

Lindsey is the classic quarterback archetype of the big-armed pocket passer in the vein of Drew Bledsoe. Listed at 6-5 and 230 pounds, Lindsey is willing and able to stand and deliver the football in the (constantly) muddy pockets he has to deal with behind Minnesota’s offensive line. Despite his size, he has a quick delivery, is a solid athlete, and has clean footwork to throw on the move or after turning his back to the defense (he has a good amount of reps already from under center). He’s still young as a redshirt sophomore, so he might still be a year away, but Lindsey is definitely one to keep an eye on as a potential riser.

I love the attention Lindsey is getting. Solid athlete? Compared to most first rd QB's I would say for sure less athletic. I am not sure NFL teams will draft a QB in the first who is less than an average athlete. That being said, I am so excited to have him under center for the Gophers.

We might quibble over the language. Maybe 'adequate' is more apt than 'solid,' or maybe his athleticism is still developing, or has yet to be demonstrated. In any case, I won't knock the positive press.

Nice!

No Anthony Smith? I was told on another thread he was a 1-2 round pick if he came out last year so I figured he would be on this list…
I might not be good at math, but if there are two rounds of 32 picks, someone is saying he is one of the top 64 players. So, we shouldn't be shocked he isn't in the top 25. He could be player 26-62.

I agree though Anthony Smith is a player. He would look good in purple. But with us running a 3-4, he is probably best suited for left side defensive end in a 4-3.

Just let the dickhead keep acting like a dickhead
Why do you always resort to name calling? You've done this a couple times. Just because we disagree on something doesn't mean you need to call people names.

I hope you have a great Friday and weekend! Peace and take care!

I don't get the disdain for you either. Of course, I haven't been here as long as others, so I don't know the backstory behind you have gophers and badgers in your name.

Either way though, you post respectfully so I wouldn't care if you were just a badger fan over here. You're obviously not trolling.

This didn't age well.

In my worthless opinion he was verygood as a first year starter as not much help, dodging the rush most of the season (Iowa was a great learning experience…). To say he’s my most intriguing player of 2026 would be a major understatement.

As far as draft positioning this season will help everyone figure that out.

With my equally worthless opinion, I concur.
