That was after Pitino yelled at Johnson on the bench at Michigan I think.

Not that sideline/bench outbursts mean anything. Just funny it's still part of the show 9-10 years after.

Yeah, the Big East is absolutely a power conference as far as basketball is concerned. Xavier is a major upgrade from UNM. Not that UNM is a bad job by any means - they're generally a good mid major program.

Big upgrade. Better conference, more money for players, more tradition as a program, etc.

It's not even a debate. He'll also make more money. No brainer.

You’re spot on. When Richard comes back to town, they sure don’t go out to have dinner.

I’ve certainly heard rumors that Ben back channeling via the AAU community is why the AAU community pushed for him so hard to get the job.

No idea if there is substance to those rumors
 


Ben turned out to be a much more accomplished leaker to local media than he was as a head basketball coach.
