Wow: 'Strong indications' LSU coach Les Miles coaching for his job vs. Ole Miss, A&M

I want to make it clear I'm fine with Claeys, but the lack of a permanent AD really hamstrung any kind of search possibilities. Miles is a superb coach and would have been a big-time hire. I wonder if Illinois makes a move for him if he is indeed fired at LSU.

If Miles is fired, he'll be able to do much better than Illinois.

From ESPN...

A buyout of LSU coach Les Miles' contract is "a very good possibility," a high-ranking source involved in the decision told ESPN's Joe Schad. "In Louisiana, we expect national championships and we're not in it," the source said. Boosters have already agreed to pay the $15-20M needed to buy out Miles and his staff, the source said.

Maybe when Harbaugh bolts for the Colts, Miles will come back to Michigan.

Les Miles may turn out to be the victim of exceedingly high expectations set by...the success of Les Miles.

I'm calling it. In about 10 minutes, ESPN's headline: Buyout on the Bayou
