Oh, come on now. The only thing that would be bigger for this program than winning the Rose Bowl is winning a National Championship.

In my opinion, winning the Rose Bowl would be be bigger FOR FANS in Minnesota, especially in my age range, who have never seen the Gophers play in the game. But nationally, the Rose Bowl isn't what it was since the CFP came along. A win over Auburn will mean more for recruiting in the south, buoyed by the biggest SEC fans, the media.

I'm giving the nod to PSU. Without the PSU win the Auburn match up doesn't happen. "Remember, remember, the 9th of November..."

The PSU win was at home in front of our own fans. People charged the field. It was so big that we were the talk of the town all week. I remember KFAN almost putting the Vikings on the back burner.

I was so drained from that game that I almost had no energy at the start of the Iowa game. I think our players did, too.

The PSU win was in our house, and gave us the hopes of winning the west.

I have PSU as far bigger.

Jan. 1st bowl game against a SEC power team vs. A Penn State team we have beaten several times over the years.

There is no wrong answer but remember the above.

Thanks for the feedback, not what the thread is about but we appreciate you repeating this same crap over and over again in every single thread regardless of topic.
You are welcome. I’ll take the credit for the aggressive play calling and the victory.

Penn St was a bigger win for the program, it put them in BCS Playoff contention in mid-November which still is quite hard for me to fathom.

Saying that, the actual team performance yesterday was far more impressive IMO. The Gophers dominated Auburn on both sides of the ball on a neutral field. Both were great.

It's hard to say. Penn State was the game that made the nation take the Gophers seriously. The victory over Auburn sets a tone for the whole off season. The Gophers will start the season in the Top 25. The perception went from being pretty good to damned good.
