...honestly, Brew didn't even have O Lines this bad.
It has to be since before Mason, maybe this one is the worst I've ever seen.
 



O-Line has been absolutely brutal all game. Assuming we don't pull the miracle comeback they are a massive reason why we lost today because they got completely dominated up front.
 

This whole line has been brutal all season. Watching Rhode Island and Nevada penetrate our line was the eye opener and it has been very hit and mostly miss all season.
 



I know they played today. You could argue this is the worst game since Brewster but this line played well enough to win in6/10 games this year
So I am gooong to say it’s probably the worst since 2017
 

Our coaches picked the wrong guys in the wrong spots in the spring in the fall playing guys that aren’t very talented. I think we’ve got some talent sitting behind them on the bench. As far as I’m concerned other than 69 we are to start over with an entirely new group next week OL.
 





A lot of mental mistakes today. # 65 Johnson the center completely vacating center of the field so that the Rutgers DT could walk in and destroy the QB. Left guard pulls likely not knowing the play. Tight ends so eager to catch, not chipping properly on edge like they should have on pass plays was a disaster. #60 Right tackle was losing leverage by standing up when getting bull rushed, have to stay in front of the guy and keep your feet moving. I know he is young guy but you cannot panic, keep your wits about you. Taylor looked injured, Gophers really should have gave more reps to Majors and Nubin just for a change of pace. Taylor was clearly dinged up by 2nd quarter. The whole oline has to get better at using their hands and popping guys in the chest.

I don't know, some of this years Freshman were pretty good recruits. Nathan Roy, Jerome Williams, Brett Carrol all look like they have really good potential to me. All Freshman.

I don’t pretend to know the depth charts ages
But if they’re young they can improve

They aren’t getting it done today
 



Need to hit the portal hard in the off-season for a couple o lineman. I'd be open to a new o line coach too.

The guys I mentioned are all Freshman have not played yet. I think these three will play in the next year or two.
 





Posted before the game we were due for a letdown. We'd had four strong games culminating with the W last weekend at Champagne that arguably was a bigger deal than beating USC at the start of the run as USC has ended up being overrated.

Don't know if the team was "looking past" Rutgers as they were in a 4 game skid on their side, but the situation was set for a hungry Rutgers against a ready to coast Gophers. This is also known as letting your guard down or playing to the level of the competition but in this case Rutgers did not get the memo.. This was do or die for them and they played like it.

We have been here before in many games starting at least with Mason. It is the rare Gophers team that can perform at a sustained high level across all three phases of the game for most of a season. I personally would much rather be flat against a high-powered opponent versus one where we are better any other Saturday.

There is some good news in all this with the bye going into Penn State. I still believe the team over the past month has the potential to beat the Nittanies. Not yesterday's team, but the one that showed up for Michigan, USC, UCLA, Maryland, and Illinois. There are two games left that can be won. We'll just have to see who shows up. Ski U Mah.
 

Finally others recognizing what I have been writing for two years. We need a new offensive line coach.
 

The lack of any pressure on AK the first half was as disappointing to me as the crappy play of the offensive line. I've seen it mentioned but the week off by Rutgers should be emphasized a lot more, especially with a home game for them. One of the things that gives me a lot of hope against Penn St.
