Worst crowd since pre-Mason yesterday

I hate to say it, but someone did something similar to this where I currently live, still got tickets to every home game and saved a ton by dropping season tickets. All tickets bought through the U. Now with a little boy born in June of '16, the 3 hour venture one-way is becoming more cumbersome and I am actually considering doing the same. I hate to say it, but it is the truth.

I was told by a select few on this board that the tix price increase was a great idea and that anyone doing what you're proposing is bad and that we don't need you as a fan.

You keep referencing this. Who exactly said this and when?

I think I came to the realization this weekend that we may have the most pathetic fan-base in the Big Ten. No energy or excitement at all for a game on a beautiful fall day against our hated rivals! Three minutes into the game the people behind me (Section 112) were screaming "down in front!" as there were fans standing up cheering and excited about the game. Finally told the guy behind me if he wanted to sit the whole game he should have stayed home and watched it on his couch. We were at the Iowa game last year and 70,000 Iowa fans had no problem standing and cheering for the whole game. Heading out to Maryland this weekend, will be interested to see what their fan base is like.

The Iowa game last year they were undefeated and both teams were playing well.

Last weekend neither team could figure out if they wanted to even win... hard to blame the fans for picking up on that. Iowa fans I saw were pretty dead too...

Obviously posted by someone who has never been to a Northwestern game. Going to Maryland as well this weekend. Excited to visit DC and see a new stadium. There are great big ten Venue's and okay big ten venue's. If your critiquing fan bases how about Michigan's empty stadium when we won there last time. Talk about fair weather fans, the team struggles for 2 seconds in a history of excellence and no one was there.

My pet peeve as well. There is disabled seating available. Get into the game!

The price range for the tickets are insane, and I don't feel wanted as a fan because of these prices.

Not to mention, the team just plain sucks. Horrible coaching. We saw that against Michigan last year.
