With the help of a personal chef, Drake Lindsey said he has slimmed down from more than 245 pounds as a true freshman to under 230.

A sign of the times that players have personal chefs now instead of eating "training table" in the athletic facility hallway or going to UDS like their predecessors did

That freshman 20 will always get ya.

Edit: Or is this more like The Redshirt Freshman 15?

I don’t know what result that should have if anything….
I'd like to hear he shed weight and improved his training max in various compound lifts by a significant degree this offseason instead of the single weight loss metric. If he's losing mass and improving his overall strength, that's a win. Losing weight in general isn't always great.

I trust the narrative means he lost some unnecessary freshman pudge. That's good, because shaving even a tenth off of his 40 can make all the difference in a crucial scenario.

If he was 230 there would have been no controversy over that Michigan State touchdown.

LOL

Personal chef not when you’re in your third year in a program I don’t care if you’re eating dorm food or the specialized stuff they feed the team now with all the body conditioning type work they put if you are a skilled position player, gonna lean up and become more athletic. That’s just the way it works. For our boy Drake every half tenth of a second quicker in his 40 yard dash he is the better.
