From the Tampa Bay Times...

Looks like Mr. Winfield made the right call...

Rookie Antoine Winfield Jr. makes an early splash with Bucs
The second-round pick likely won't be practicing with the second-team defense for long.

Here's the link:

Progress somewhere.

Heard Tyler dealing with some injury. Anyone heard anything?

This one hurts the Vikes not picking him. Just saying.

I wouldn't want a bunch of Gophers playing for the Vikings. The NFL is a business and there's always that weird tension between what's best for the team and what's best for the players. Like if you're a Dalvin Cook fan then you want him to get paid a truck load of cash right now, but if you're a Viking fan, then you want to see another season before you give him the contract.

Sid chimes in:

• Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians told the Tampa Bay Times that defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr., the Gophers great drafted by Tampa Bay in the second round, could start this season. “He’s an intelligent player. It’s not too big for him. He’ll be competing for a starting job quickly,” Arians said. Winfield is taking snaps with the first team.

Go Gophers!!

Is TJ still hurt?

I don’t know, but they’re having him take punt returns, which probably isn’t his cup of tea.

I’m starting to worry he might not make the final roster.
