Will we see more of Berkley Edwards this season?

You could have said the same thing at the beginning of last year about David Cobb and he was a Junior. How'd that work out? Give him a chance to grow and learn.

Just before the part you highlighted from my post I said it was too early in his career to tell for sure how it is going to play out. My opinion is that he doesn't have what it takes to be an everydown back in the Big Ten but obviously time will tell. Your point on Cobb is valid however he is also a very different type of runner then Edwards.

I think we are going to have to wait for Jones. Edwards seems to be a sprinter and not very shifty which Cobb is.

I think he's too small to be a target at WR. I hope he proves me wrong.

He is tiny.

They are obviously trying ways to get him the ball in the boundary. I think that's where he'll work.

I don't see ever him as an every-down running back. Maybe if he adds 30 pounds.

Reggie Bush was pretty small too. But Reggie Bush was a step and a half faster.

Berkeley is fast. But he is not world-class fast.

He's about the same size as KJ Maye.

I totally understand why they offered him. We needed speed at the offensive skill position and we have to find it in unconventional/risky ways.

He looks indecisive when he gets the ball. With his speed, he needs to get north/south faster and make up his mind to "go". He hasn't been productive since the first game of the year in garbage time. If something isn't working, I would assume the coaches will recognize that and not force things with him. As others have said though, he's still just a freshman. Be patient with him.

The guy's speed and playmaking abilities have been talked up by coaches, fans, and the media. I for one just get excited when I see him trot on the field because you never know what kind of play you could see coming...whether he is used or not he should be on the field more just to give the defense someone else to pay attention to.
