With Zierden quitting the Lynx and heading to the Wizards AND Kevin losing his Wolves analyst job, will Learfield bring him back to be part of the Gopher broadcast?

In the rare times I was relegated to radio, I thought Zierden was good. I thought Lynch was OK too. Given he just got axed by the Wolves it would be logical for him to come back. Hopefully Learfield Sports sees it the same way.

Hey JohnnyGopher, what would you do if you had the opportunity to more than double your salary and fulfill a lifelong dream? If you can honestly say you'd turn it down because of poor timing, than you're a better man than most. Given the chance, I think you'd bolt too.

I'd like Kevin back. I hope he didn't burn any bridges with Lear Sports. And am I the only one who thought Lynch and Zierdon sounded a lot alike?

Meanwhile the Wizards have now put together one of the top coaching staffs in the NBA while the TWolves are still dinking around with what to do with theirs.

I'm not trying to slam the WNBA but well it's the WNBA. You don't know if the team is going to fold or the whole league could fold - at any time. While, yeah, I guess you can fault him for leaving with a few days before the start of the season, but how can you blame him ? Back with Flip for X number of years, security, and so on.

A lifelong dream to be an assistant coach in the NBA? He was an assistant with Minnesota and Detroit.

I've heard Zierden knew he was leaving the Lynx a few weeks ago. He stuck around to help them get the team settled as they searched for another coach. It's the way life is in the WNBA. Players, coaches and management all understand it.

I hope they do bring Lynch back I really liked his work, as well as Zierden's this past season. I think Grimm does good play by play even if he complains too much for my taste about officiating. I liked Grimm's work for football with the high schools this fall and I wish they would replace awful Dave Lee with Grimm on FB too.
