Why the Gopher and Beaver fan bases should get along famously.

1) Same family.....rodents. We're cousins.
2) Mascots with large incisors. Benny the Beaver.
3) Epic losing streaks to their hated rivals. Seven straight to Oregon in the Civil War!
4) Both arch rivals fans bases are notoriously obnoxious and disliked universally in
their respective conferences. Ducks suck.
5) Shared Rose Bowl futility. Beav's last one was in '65. In '08 and '09 Civil War losses
cost us the conference title and the Rose Bowl.
6) Have had to deal with their arch rivals reaching historic levels of success in football
and basketball.

So embrace your fellow rodent who can relate to your suffering.
