Ken has been a very solid coach at Navy. Paul Johnson at G-Tech has done a great job. I think he would be a very solid coach for the gophers. He runs a very good clean program. Plus I think his offense would be very fun to watch and you could plug in Gray at QB easily. What are your thoughts?

I don't think he'd run the triple option in Minnesota.

I would take Mullen 1st & Niumatalolo 2nd ..

I like Ken Niumatalolo.

Anyone who has consistent success at a service academy is a good coach.

Sid complains about the Gopher's tough recruiting challenge because of academic requirements. Try a height, weight, academic and so on requirement that Niumatolo and Calhoun have to put up with.

Kiss of death today in Sid's collumn...what a putz! he says that if Maturi wants an endorsement of Kevin Sumlin he should talk to Vikings O-lineman Phil Loadholt who played at Oklahoma when Sumlin was OC there. We had a great offense Loadholt said. WOW! Another breaking news story, Sid, thanks so much. With an endorsement like that, how can we NOT hire Coach Sumlin...GEEZ!

Sumlin is a candidate for sure, but he shouldn't be at the top of the list.
