Why is there no advertising for TCU game?

Do you have your tickets?
Living social has sold 1000 tickets.
It's 3 weeks left before the game.
For us homers this pairing has produced enough hype. The week before the game you can bet ESPN will put the full court press on advertising this game on all the ABC networks.

I have a few questions that maybe have been answered elsewhere:

What possible reason could there be for the Vikings to play their stupid 5th preseason game on the same weeknight as the Gophs' opener? It isn't as though the NFL isn't aware of which cities have college teams and their schedules, right?
Which game is going to be played on KFAN that night?
It sure would have been nice to have at least one day of people focusing on the Gophers instead of agonizing over which 3rd string DB the Vikings are going to take a look at that night and analyzing that DB's play the next day.

For the last three years, all the NFL final preseason games have been on Thursday. In 2012 there were a couple games on Wednesday, but that would mean a Saturday-Wednesday turnaround between games this year.

Last year the Gopher radio broadcast was on KOOL 108 so Vikings have priority.
