Gotta go with Barry. No way Bielema left because of the college lifestyle in Madison.

Frequently seeing human-deer sexual encounters taking place behind the football complex.

I do think it is a possibility Barry likes to micro manage. Sometimes hard for an old ball coach to give it up.

Anderson's wife was sick of him coming home smelling like booze even though he doesn't drink.

Mostly likely because they have the biggest piece of sh/t fans on the face of the earth. No wonder these coaches want to leave that inbred state.

If we're ony picking from those two options then its definitely Alvarez.

wisconsin lol. i would guess the reason being he is a west coast guy. Some people not familiar with the midwest winter and culture dont adapt well. I am guessing he wanted out.

Why isn't this a multi-option poll?

I thought this as well. He's from SLC. Is he Mormon? That hard-partying atmosphere may have been a little much for him to put up with. Either that or he got fed up when Barry pressured him to microwave a parrot as a "rite of passage".

Barry is an AD that wants to still coach. And unless you're 18 years old Madison is a sh-t hole.

Jerry Kill is the reason the BADgers have had two coaches in three years.

I bet this has something to do with the CFB Illuminati requiring Wisconsin to throw the Big Ten Championship game. Anderson has been put in witness protection in Corvallis. Nobody would ever look there.

Precisely what I just said to my wife. I think he likes to add his two cents, when not asked. He kinda has a snarky/pompous look to himself in every interview and I could see that rubbing coaches wrong.

Gonna be plenty of sand to clean out of the badginas. Whatever the reason, I love it. And it might be better if nobody knows for sure, because it will keep some potential coaches away if they don't know what they are getting into.

Becky is in deep **** for a HC now, and they know it!!! Go Gophers!!!!

The second option is the one that is closest to "wants to live in a place where livestock and close relatives are sexually off-limits", so I think that one deserves some consideration.

Sounds like admissions and assistant coach pay. Add that with Oregon St putting $42 million into facilities and closer to home. Will be interesting to see who they hire. I bet it takes shorter than Michigan, however state law requires the job be publicly posted.

Why? They got tired of having to dust the ax week after week after week....

Not enough Scholarship fund revenue.

Made my first visit to Madison two weeks ago, things that stood out:

1. There is a freakin' statute of Alvarez at the front gate of the stadium.
2. Madison is a sh*thol* of a city.

Why I think Anderson left:

1. There is a freakin' statue of Alvarez at the front gate of the stadium.
2. Madison is a s*ithole of a city.
3. Anderson's "my family wants to move back West" translates as "My wife can't believe, stand, or expose our family any longer to the extreme alcohol-dependent society that exists in Wisconsin."
4. Alvarez is a complete A-hole to work for.

This has nothing to do with Alvarez's ego and everything to do with his competitiveness and his goals. He surpassed his goal to win a Big 10 Championship years ago. He wants to win a National Championship while he is still AD. His coaches probably have it branded onto their asses. I admire that about Alvarez. It is something the Gophers have not had since the 1960's, and the main reason why we have not a won any kind of championship since.

Did Barry play LSU and Alabama?

I don't know why he left but find it interesting that when he left Utah State, he called everyone of his players to inform them that he had taken the job at Wisconsin (which, to me, said a lot about his character). This time, I don't believe he did. If I'm a reporter in Corvallis, I'd probably ask a question as to why he didn't.
