Mitch for sure. He played his best game as a Gopher tonight.

Mitch Leidner for sure. *when* he get's protection, he's legit. No more doubters.

Well, all three 5-7 teams that got in on academic merits won their bowl games.

You can criticize all you want, but I think these group of Gophers deserved to be here after a tumultuous year.

The answer is Leidner and there is no argument.

If I could pick a unit - I would go with the entire D as CMU was a legit offense and they shut them down by playing as a team. I think they displayed what a healthy D can do.

On O - Mitch seems to have made leaps and strides after the coaching change. Yeah - he still had a bad pick, but he was asked to be much more than a game manager today with the running game pretty poor. As someone that wanted him yanked mid-season due to no discernible upside after 3 years, I now have mixed emotions. I don't know how much Mitch will improve in the off season, but I have a lot more faith in him now.

Where the Gophers need to improve is on O-Line, and Claeys has recognized that fact and made changes. Hopefully, we get someone competent in there. O-Line should be a strong point for this program - bring back a Mason ZBS scheme if nothing else. With this D, we will win a lot of games if we can get the run game sorted out.

You are 100% correct. Some will find reasons to say otherwise, but ML7 was the MVP. He was great. If anyone disagrees they are just wrong. W.R.O.N.G.

Leidner played great, but Julian Huff forced the interception that stopped them. He also made an incredible play from the right side of the defense to stop a screen pass on the other side while being blocked. I have no issue with Leidner, just thought Huff also played his best game ever as well!

I have been critical of Mitch all year because of his inconsistent play but he certainly stepped up and played great today. I voted Mitch.

Mitch played well.

My vote went to KJ. He caught the ball when we really needed it.

BBC got beat on several throws. He shouldn't be in the top 5.

1. Leidner
2. Maye
3. Murray
4. Huff
5. Smith/Brooks

But he made an INT (that Huff created). Certain posters on here (BB) don't see any further than that.

I voted for Mitch but he couldn't have done it without all that encouragement and coaching from Wait! What? The good news is, if Wait! What is at all smart, we won't be hearing from him for a long time.

Calhoun was making plays all over the field. Two or three nice PBUs, the fantastic adjustment on the INT in a clutch moment and played a huge role in shutting down a vaunted aerial attack.

All true. EM31 was still the best CB out there today tho.

Leidner's completion rate was 80%... his poll rate is 80%. Coincidence? I think not!
