It's teams like UCONN that keep me clinging to the Gophers. Just once I wish we could do what nobody else thought. UCONN has done it twice now with average teams.

I think last years championship game ended with the same 6 point margin as this one, but that game was 10 times more exciting. If this is as good as it gets in college basketball, then the Gophers don't have as far to go as some on here think.

Gotta say the lesser of two evils won tonight. Calhoun was an arrogant SOB, but Calipari is a snake in the grass cheat that makes Jerry Tarkanian look like a saint.

I'm happy for Kevin Ollie and crew. They worked hard and deserve the championship.

UConn now has more national titles than Kansas, and just as many as Duke. Could UConn attain "blue blood" status? I suppose that's more a matter of perception than anything else. Four national titles in 16 years is impressive though.
