It's really not that incredible, with how trash college football is now.

You can just buy a Heisman winner and thus buy yourself a natty.

I will declare that championships won prior to collective bargaining and a hard spending cap, are suspect at best.
 

Hetherman was Cignetti's DC at James Madison for 2 years. I just found that interesting. I hope we get a good game, but I think IU wins by 10+ points.
 

I believe it is a mortal lock Indiana will
Steamroll Miami (FL). There is no way that Cignetti loses focus or the stage is too big for him. They are like the 85 Bear in my opinion.

That was back before Hetherman and rest of the world realized that Cig knew more about football than any person in the history in humanity.

It was just a long play that he had been mired down in DII all those years and only very recently did someone take a chance on him.

If only he had stuck around for the ride ...
 




Based on their performances, I see no reason to pick against the 3 star Hoosier squad. Really, really good football team.
Another comment, has this tournament dragged out too long? My mojo for this game is not there, anyone else agree?

Who can compete with that?

 



My one and only visit to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, fka Joe Robbie Stadium, had bad memories. Gophers vs NC State in the infamous Micron PC.com Bowl. A relatively warm but rainy evening turned into another epic Masonesque huge blown lead for a loss. Phillip Rivers went insane in the 2nd half.

I think the lower Mojo is because we just watched 4 important NFL games this weekend. The College Championship game maybe should be 1 week earlier.

The TV ratings will tell the story.

If it is that easy tell us all next year's Heisman winner to buy. It's a real easy thing to state after the fact but it wasn't some sure thing like you state.

Probably not. But I definitely don’t think we’ll see Miami get 17 without help. Just a zero danger spot for them to go with some tempo that I don’t really understand

Heatherman apparently went full ‘Cane for this opening gameplan and told his guys to hit Mendoza as dirty as possible until they start calling it. In the NFL that guy who crowned him under the chin and drew blood might still get a fine by the league next week despite no penalty on the field.
