With their defense I just think Miami is more likely to have 4 turnovers than 4 touchdownsJust seems like Indiana wins no matter what. Close game, blow out, whatever. They follow the Fleck adage of don’t beat yourself and have enough talent that they don’t lose if they adhere to that. I don’t seen them making the errors with such a veteran well coached team.
If Miami can keep the game close they have a shot. They have shown they know how to finish in close games against good teams over the course of the CFP.
Indiana probably wins but I hope Miami does because if Indiana wins we will have another 50 threads about Cignetti on this forum![]()
lol vote is 20-3 IndianaIndiana.
Just to piss off the clowns here who've been trying to write him off for 2 years now.
The one plus side of Miami winning is that it would remind people there are football conferences outside of the Big Ten and SEC. Those two have become the sole focus of the college football world and the other conference get pushed to the background.I think that if Miami wins, they turn into the super juggernaut of college football. As much as my jealousy and envy doesn't want the suddenly relevant Indiana to win, I don't want Miami to win even more...regardless of endless Cignetti threads.

But yeah, tough to root for a program like Miami to have anything good happen to it. In the end I really don't care who wins as long as the game is entertaining.
Oregon made so many mistakes and turnovers, giving Indiana several short fields. If Miami can hold onto the ball and minimize drive-killing mistakes, I think it will be a close game. If Indiana plays clean on offense and forces some turnovers on defense, Miami could find itself in the spin dry cycle. Once Cignetti gets on top of you, he doesn't cut back and "play it safe," he pours it on.Wondering if it will even be a close game....
That was Miami's problem against Ole Miss. If you yardage for the game, you would have though Miami blew them out.Oregon made so many mistakes and turnovers, giving Indiana several short fields. No. They have a plan, they play to win, and when they expose a weakness in their opponent, they exploit it until their opponent stops it.Just seems like Indiana wins no matter what. Yep, Cignetti never takes his foot off the gas pedal. PJ would never try to run up the score and "embarrass" an opponent.No. They have a plan, they play to win, and when they expose a weakness in their opponent, they exploit it until their opponent stops it.
Fleck tries to do what Cignetti does, but he doesn't scheme against the opponent; he plays not to lose rather than to win. When he finds a weakness, he builds a lead he thinks is big enough, then turtles up, believing the other team can't recover.
Two very different approaches. Indiana is prepared from the kick-off through the final whistle in every game, something Fleck did exactly once this past year in the B1G.
If Cignetti and Fleck were similar, we would have had 6 Nebraska games, a slugfest against Iowa, and 2 losses in the B1G in 2025.
