It'd be 1b to Shaka at 1a for me and Flip 2. Agree as well though, I think Shaka is more realistic than Buzz.

Tubby wasn't a bad hire no matter how anyone tries to spin it. He built the program up after monson, I'm fine with his removal, I just feel there is a huge chance we swing and miss and look like idiots nationally...time will tell and I'm hoping for the best

Surprised the list didn't include Coach K, Phil Jackson, and Jesus Christ. Love the names, skeptical about our chances with them. Not saying it won't happen though, and I'd love to be surprised.

Well they are listed as 'top candidates' for a reason. What does the list of probable or realistic candidates look like?

If so, I wouldn't look for an announcement until after the busy weekend.

That is awesome. I think out of those 4, Shaka seems the most gettable.

Buzz seems like he'll be at Marquette for awhile unless Texas opens up. (Which on a side note, I'd be shocked if Rick Barnes is retained).

Brad Stevens seems to be a lifer at Butler unless he has some dream job that is desired.

Can't see Hoiberg leaving is alma mater for us. He's like a god there.

My belief is this whole search thing is a crock and we do indeed have a verbal from someone.

If true, that's a nice list. My preference in order would be:

1. Stevens
2. Hoiberg
3. Williams
4. Smart

I agree.. I think the search line is BS and someone is lined up. If Shaka, we will know by tomorrow. If we don't know by Thursday, you can bet our guy is currently coaching in the tourney.
