Drake changed the game, 'nuff said

Him being roommates with Max last year was evident this game. He was reading the defense pre-snap and making decisions before the snap even happened. I don't know if I have seen a Minnesota Gopher quarterback at his age. Do what he is doing. Knowledge and physical skills are everywhere with this kid.

The beautiful bomb to Smith really changed the whole feel of the game. MVP has to go to Drake, the running game wasn't working and it came down to him to get it done with his arm and he came through.

I really want to acknowledge Jalen Smith but it has to be Drake. He was terrific once we stopped pretending that we could run the ball effectively.

Some of the other guys made big plays that may have been outcome determinative in a game that ended this close, but I have no hesitation saying Drake's play was the biggest factor.

Honorable mention to the Rutgers center for launching that snap past AK.

I agree that the Drake was clearly the player of the game. But that run by Brown after his interception was amazing.

The Rutger's center had the biggest impact on the final outcome. AK didn't even call for the snap.....

But Drake took advantage of every mistake Robb Smith made, starting with the switch to zone coverage on the long pass to Smith.

When Drake escaped the rush and hit Tracy on the run I couldn’t think of any gopher qb since maybe Asad Abdul Khaliq who could come close to such a play. Max was close but man Drake appears to be on a level we gopher fans have never seen. Kudos to Drake!
