I get why Koi is going to win this poll....hell he isn't a bad pick by any stretch as his pick 6 proved to be the difference in the final score.

But I cast my vote for Kerry Brown. That play was going to be a TD, he made a great read, ran across the field and laid out for an amazing pick. Fleck mentioned it in his post game....they get that TD there and the game may have turned out very different.

Denaburg also deserved a spot on that list. Made both FG, including a 46 yarder and kickoffs were great as usual.

I am not exaggerating here. The first half was the worst officiated game I've ever seen. The hold on Le'Meke Brockington in the first quarter? I bet his prom date didn't hold him that tight.
Refs were letting defenders have their way with receivers. Only thing that can really be said for them is that at least they called it (or didn't call it) the same both ways with the possible exception of the one they threw on Nestor.

McMillon's 4th down breakup may have drawn a flag in a more tightly officiated game.

There could have been a flag thrown on Purdue almost every play. I never saw such blatant holds outside of the tackle box on offense and DB's up and down the field ever.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I agree with you.

Drake Lindsey all day and twice on Saturday. Without him, this team is 2-10 or 1-11.
I would agree. No offensive line blocking whatsoever. Although there is 4 wins without Drake….a qb that can run could help a little bit. Hope he stays at least one if not two years before going pro.

STrib chimes in:

MVP: Drake Lindsey

The redshirt freshman quarterback had a key, fourth-and-2 scramble for 3 yards on the fourth-quarter drive that tied the score. Three plays later, Lindsey found Javon Tracy for a 16-yard gain to the Purdue 9. That set up his clutch TD pass to Geers.

“When we needed it most, if it was his arm or his legs, he was gonna get it done,” Perich said of Lindsey. “I have so much respect for him.”

Go Gophers!!

Kerry Brown was my second choice. I went with Koi because that was a momentum changing play on a difficult pass to intercept and he made sure he scored. And don’t tell Fleck I said the M word. 😉

Le'Meke Brockington, not so much for this game, for being consistent. Some good individual plays by guys, but….
