Can't believe we're having this discussion.
I was hoping I'd never hear his name mentioned ever again.Philip Nelson.
My badger mom laughed in my face as crudler threw the game away.I would have to say Weber was the best in my lifetime based on the total body of work and what he had to work with, which was cold chili. Then again, he had Decker which saved a lot of poor throws.
I know a lot on here like Leidner, but his epic collapse against Wisconsin disqualifies him from consideration as he was uniquely useless in that game. The only thing that comes close were the epic collapses we had vs. Michigan and Texas Tech. But, those were more on the team as a whole. Mitch singlehandedly lost the Wisconsin game - and you can't do that vs. your biggest rival and make a list as the greatest QB.
You've got comedian friends? So aside from the couple hours a week they're on stage at the New Hope Bowl & Lounge, or when they're "writing jokes", which part of their self-loathing, manic depressive, chemically dependent lifestyle do you like the most?Haha...
Haha...OMG...you guys are toooooo effing funny!
This thread is GOLD! I’m going to forward this to some of my comedian friends. Keep an eye on your inbox in case they want me to get in touch with you.
Oh...my sides.
See my post above. I think Leidner holds his own way better than people give him credit for.If Leidner is an option then you pretty much need to add every quarterback from the sepia tone era that either kept the ball, handed it off to either halfback, or gave it to the fullback.
Thanks. But where is the "Number of Disastrous Interceptions Late in the Game Resulting in a Loss" column?See my post above. I think Leidner holds his own way better than people give him credit for.
I voted for Morgan though.
No Mike Hohensee on the list...? He'd have to be in the conversation, at least.
So hard to analyze across different eras. Bobby Cox with 37 career completions. Here's my spreadsheet updated with Cox included:

Well aware the stats don't bear it out. Guess I'm defining "Greatest" in a different way; as in who accomplished the most in his time as the Gopher QB.100/297
1571 yards
13 touchdowns
27 interceptions
228 carries
888 yards
17 touchdown
More comedy? Leidner had no business as a bt starting qb. Stop accepting mediocrity.See my post above. I think Leidner holds his own way better than people give him credit for.
I voted for Morgan though.
Yeah I don’t even know how to contextualize it. What was a good season back then?Well aware the stats don't bear it out. Guess I'm defining "Greatest" in a different way; as in who accomplished the most in his time as the Gopher QB.
I think it's even somewhat hard to compare Cupito with Morgan. Football has progressively become more pass-friendly over time.So hard to analyze across different eras. Bobby Cox with 37 career completions.
I almost voted Weber. I think if you put Weber on the 2019 Gophers, he probably does some really nice things.I would have to say Weber was the best in my lifetime based on the total body of work and what he had to work with, which was cold chili. Then again, he had Decker which saved a lot of poor throws.

Who is worst QB with at least 500 attempts? Wood if you have full sheet can you post list of qualifiers?

Pretty good list. I thought there would be some dogs in there but no.Wow that’s (formatting) ugly. Ignore the stuff other the names unless you can put it together
thats the list of 13 gopher quarterbacks with 500+ attempts though
If I had to pick one...Dungy has got to be the worst passer of the group (due to clearly the worst completion %) with Fleetwood and Schade being the only two close to him (due to high interceptions)Pretty good list. I thought there would be some dogs in there but no.
Maybe.I think it's even somewhat hard to compare Cupito with Morgan. Football has progressively become more pass-friendly over time.
