It'll be a hot topic today as everything gets sorted out. The #1 team would probably get Oklahoma which could be a big advantage.

I think LSU gets it because their win over Georgia was more convincing.

Ohio St.'s wins were more impressive.

Ohio St. beat everyone by at least 2 scores.

LSU had a handful of one score wins... including one vs. Texas.

It's pretty clear OSU's resume stacks up very well against LSU's. OSU seems like a better team and is more well-rounded, but the committee will care more about the scoreboard from yesterday, and the SEC bias, than the total resume. My take: OSU is the better team. LSU will be #1. My other take: Clemson is better than LSU; and Clemson and OSU are the best two CFB teams in 2019.

I believe LSU and Ohio St have gone back and forth at #1 the past few weeks so I think the committee sees them as being very close. LSU had the more convincing win so I think they will get the edge. It's so close though.

OSU has the better resume but the committee seems very influenced by eye test and recent results so my guess is they will give the #1 spot to LSU. If Ohio State had played the whole game yesterday the way they played the 2nd half then they would be in the top spot.

My gut says they ding the Buckeyes for being down at halftime.

OSU wins?

Wisc, Wisc, PSU and @Michigan.

Good wins but all four are only top 10-15 teams.

LSU wins?

Georgia, @Alabama, Florida, Auburn.

Two top 5 wins and two top 10-15 wins.

Does it come down to which non-conference win is better: LSU win @Texas or OSU at home to Cincinnati? I think the win @ Texas is better.

Ohio St should be #1 but I just had a feeling LSU would get the #1 seed.

LSU moves to #1 after being #2 the last few weeks.

Really dumb how a win over Georgia is enough to change the previous 12 week history.

LSU will be the 1 seed not because they deserve it or earned but because of influence. OSU has the better resume. I swear for three weeks straight after OSU took the number one seed from LSU, the front page of the ESPN CFB section was an article about sorry OSU but LSU is the true number one.

They wanted to see who played better in their champ game, and thus who would give Clemson a better game for the National Championship.

LSU v Clemson has been setup as the Natty, now. I certainly hope that Ohio St pulls it out, but the way they played Wisc in the first half ... I don't know if they can beat Clemson.

LSU will not have a problem with OU.

One semi-interesting thing to me about the final CFP rankings: I underestimated to the degree to which the committee simply refused to move teams around from the previous ranking. Like they were either afraid to do anything, wanted to do as little work as possible, or a combination.

Look at the final rankings compare to the previous: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_NCAA_Division_I_FBS_football_rankings#CFP_Rankings

- switched LSU and Ohio St
- rotated Georgia/Utah/Okla for Okla/Georgia/Oregon, swapping Oregon for Utah
- rotated Auburn/Alabama/Oregon for Utah/Auburn/Alabama, swapping Utah for Oregon
- switched App St and Cincy
- switched Navy and Virginia

Overall:
- 14 other teams in the top 25 stayed exactly the same
- 9 teams gained or lost 1 place
- then Utah/Oregon
