Who do we hate more, Iowa or Wisconsin?

Iowa fans are as obnoxious as Packer fans and as Sioux fans (because it's their only sports) pfft.

Wisconsin is worse 'cause we have to deal with their sludge in multiple sports.

Wisconsin is just so full of a__holes. Sorry but that's the truth.

Why decide between the two?

When they're both equally worthless why does one have to choose? May I suggest
that both Iowa and Wisconsin suck an equal amount, and that as a Gopher fan
we can dislike, loathe, despise, and wish ill will on all badgers and hawkeyes when we play them. Anything good for them is bad for us and vice versa so I say they are judged to be equally
worthless.

and just to clarify i mean children that i like to beat physically on Saturdays.;)

I hate Wisconsin more and its not even close. I hate everything about the University of Wisconsin. I really do.

I could not have said it better myself! If there are jackass badger fans sitting around me at the game their lives may be in danger.

I don't think anybody here would disagree when I say the Monson era was a dark time for Gopher basketball. Tubby won the last two and now that he has his players he will dominate Wisconsin until he is gone. Bo had a nice run of winning the Big Ten and doing nothing in the tourney, but with the influx of good coaches into the Big Ten, he will be lucky to finish 5th in the conference from now on, but you can feel good that he will continue to bore everybody with his brand of basketball.

I'll spare you with the woes of the Vikes as they do not pertain to the board, but I think Gopher football is turning a corner and I bet you agree. Granted, you may just be a giant tool that spends his time bother him people he doesn't know, but you just might be estute enough to see the writing on the wall, so you are getting your shots in while you still can.

Are the Gophers tOSU? No. But neither are the Badgers. Believe me, the last 15 years of Wisconsin Football are just as insignificant to non-Badger fans as any title won 60 years ago. At least we can point to some hardware.

I mildly agree however I don't see Wisconsin's programs sinking. I think basketball will be even keeled with the series splitting near 50/50. Bo's teams aren't going anywhere. And it's tough to say he plays a boring style when Tubby also preaches defense and his team scored a whopping 0.3 points a game more than Wisconsin.

I think the jury is still out on Brew's bunch though. At this point, he hasn't accomplished anything more than Mason. I think we'll all have a better feel after this season and maybe into next season without Decker. He may be turning a corner, he may just be returning them to mediocrity.

No contest for me.

I HATE WISCONSIN! Everything about the state, its university, its fans, etc.

I really don't have any problem with Iowa. Every Iowegian I've ever met has been a nice person (unless you count the guy with the Herkie tattoo on his canckle).

Agree 100%, not even close. My least favorite college teams have always been:

1. Wisconsin
2. Notre Dame

recently added number 3 this year: Boise State, because they are playing ONE stinkin' decent opponent and will skate into a BCS game (possibly the National Championship:mad:).

Iowa's way worse. I think by-in-large, a lot of us hate Wisconsin in almost a sibling-rivalry sort of way. They're like our annoying little brother, and they definitely do suck, but we have too much in common not to relate a little bit. Iowa, on the other hand, is more like prostate cancer.

Agreed. Amazing how they forget about their .362 winning percentage between Rose Bowl appearances (1964-1992). We were a football juggernaut during the same period, relative to Sconny, anyway, with a bruising .434. Thanks, Jim Wacker.

Give Wacker some credit, he was the last Gopher coach to win in Camp Randall.

The answer to the question is easy. I hate everything about Iowa (except Lois Feldman).

Can't blame Boise State when teams across the country refuse to play them in non-conference games.

I try to whittle the post down what I am referring to. Guess Yuku doesn't work like other boards. But I agree, Hosea needs to play more!

I hate Iowa the most.

At least in Wisconsin they have beer and cheese. These are good things.

The question is: Why does Iowa exist?

I could not have said it better myself! If there are jackass badger fans sitting around me at the game their lives may be in danger.

Agreed. I just got my purple Favre jersey and can't wait to wear it to a wis vs. Illinois game at camp randy. Anybody else notice that in the dome, Gophers playing anybody but wis, there would always be at least one loser in a packers jersey? Not to mention someone wearing a wis shirt to a Gopher game when we aren't even playing them.

Someone also mentioned all the wis people moving to MN. They should be thanking us for the opportunity. It's either move here, or:

Miller Brewing in milwaukee(I guess there is the US Bank center, but that's about it), the local car dealer in madison (honestly, Eagan has more sky-scrapers than madison. But hey, at least there's a lake:clap:), or the meat plant in green bay (I think the tallest building in green bay is the hospital).

I hate wisconsin the most because, lets face it, wisconsinites and Minnesotans are nearly identical in all facets of life. I mean, the only differences lie in our inability to fornicate with dead animals. That's real rivalry. Chickenhawks have nothing in common with us. They suffer from a severe inferiority complex based on how little they have in that Dark Ages crater of a "state," and how much we actually have. Why do you think they all live in the metro?

Having spent my college years in Wisconsin(not madison), I would say that I despise bucky way more than Iowa.

Wisconsin is not just a haven for cannibalistic serial killers, it's also a haven for zoonecrophiliacs. Give Iowa credit, they would never have sex with a dead animal.

Wow, that is painful to think about. Who do I hate more? Stalin or Hitler.... Iowa or Wisconsin... I guess who is next up. This week it is becky.

Wisconsin, I think is a very underrated state, same as Minnesota. Of course being from wisconsin I learned to appreciate where I grew up. But I have always hated Madison. The city just sucks. And the doesn't treat prospective students all that well. Or at least that's what I experienced. Never once have I cheered for the badgers. And now that I go to the U I will always want to see them lose. But man do I love the Packers. Only NFL game that feels like a college game. The way football should be. Nothing overly commercial about it.

Can't wait for Saturday. Go Gophers!

That's like asking which form of Communism do you hate more, the Chinese or the Cuban version? I can't tolerate either and I couldn't live in either place. Same goes for Iowa and Wisconsin.

And to take the analogy further: Iowa has a warmer climate than Minnesota. So what? Cuba is much warmer than both and it still has zero quality of life for 99.99% of the population. The U of Wisconsin has a much bigger stadium than our cozy new football digs. Beijing has the monstrous Bird's Nest Stadium and the place still stinks compared to any major city in the U.S.

Wisconsin is much more of a football/basketball rivalry to me. I just hate hawkeye fans in general, don't really care about their football team.
