I have to say Iowa. Here are my reasons.

1. Wisconsin sucks.
2. Iowa sucks more.

But seriously folks, Iowa fans are a gaggle of nincompoops. As evidence I present Lois Feldman of Carroll, Iowa.

Iowa fans are as obnoxious as Packer fans and as Sioux fans (because it's their only sports) pfft.

Wisconsin is worse 'cause we have to deal with their sludge in multiple sports.

I think you mean "Wisconsin is worse because they beat is in multiple sports."

Heh. Good one. Nice to see Holy Cross is still pumping out intellectual and comedic giants....

Let's see. The last time the Vikings played the packers, the Vikings won. The last two times the Gophers played the badgers in hoops, the gophers won. The Twins have dominated the Brewers annually since interleague play began, the Brewers were 0-6 this year?

After our W on Saturday then Monday, you're last victory against us will have been a distant memory.

Did you even think about what you were saying, or did you just say it?

Good posting. Couldn't agree more. I just want to punch every Iowa fan I've ever come across. There's been at least a few Wisconsin fans that I could at least ignore.

I hate Wisconsin more and its not even close. I hate everything about the University of Wisconsin. I really do.

The worst fan base: IOWA, God they are disgusting, seriously just disgusting individuals.

Who would I like to beat more: Wisconsin, they are our MAIN rivals. Lets not forget that.

No contest for me.

I HATE WISCONSIN! Everything about the state, its university, its fans, etc.

I really don't have any problem with Iowa. Every Iowegian I've ever met has been a nice person (unless you count the guy with the Herkie tattoo on his canckle).

One breeds an abnormally high number of serial killers. The other breeds individuals with an "unusual" obsession with swine.

One has Milwaukee. The other has Des Moines.

One has a majority of their population that at one point would let their wife sleep with Brett Favre because their cultural makeup starts and ends with Packer football. The other has a majority of their population that would let their wife sleep with a stranger in a stadium bathroom stall.

One moves to Minnesota for jobs by the thousands. The other considers a trip to Minnesota as a "once in a lifetime" exotic trip.

One is known universally as lazy, drunk, and fat by the other 49 states. The other consider those admirable qualities when looking for a mate because at least they're not old (Iowa has the oldest population in the country...teens bolt at the first chance they get)

I feel sorry more than hate. I could go on but you get the point.

sconny.

Simply because of their pompous ideal of history... the past fifteen years.

Agreed. Amazing how they forget about their .362 winning percentage between Rose Bowl appearances (1964-1992). We were a football juggernaut during the same period, relative to Sconny, anyway, with a bruising .434. Thanks, Jim Wacker.

I'm realistic enough to admit they were a good to very good football program during BA's tenure. But to hear them talk now, it's like they've been a top-tier Big Ten program since U Chicago actively participated in in the conference.

Wisconsin has won 12 of the past 14 football games and 16 of the past 20 basketball games.

And I don't see what the Packers and Brewers have to do with it... but the Packers have won 8 of the past 11 and I'm sure the Twins have owned the Brewers, but I don't watch baseball so I don't care.

Both the Bucks and the Wolves suck. Can't compare the Wild with the Milwaukee Admirals (are they even in Milwaukee anymore?).

But we have been on the good side in the most recent match-ups, haven't we? We could look at the overall record of the Gophers and badgers in football, but you'd lose there as well. So ancient history is on our side, too. Why don't we go all the way back to determine who really beats who? Why pick the last 15 years? As said above, history is revised constantly by the wisconsin sports fan. But like you said, we don't like wisconsin because the state beats us at everything in your revised version of history between the states.

The other sports were mentioned because the Holy Cross guy said that wisconsin beats Minnesota in multiple sports. If he didn't mean the NFL or MLB, maybe he meant college baseball?

Iowa. I despise Wisconsin, but I freely admit that there's some cool stuff about the state. Brewing beer is pretty cool. I hate the Packers, but it's cool that under no circumstances will that team ever be moved. Wisconsin Dells is neat if you like swimming in other people's tinkle. Iowa has...? Well, Iowa has a football team that's played in a New Year's Day bowl game, and any Hayseed Hawkeye fan will tell you that's the apex of collegiate football.

You nailed it for me MBA - that's exactly why I hate Wisconsin more.

I can't stand younger Wisconsin fans absolute ignorance of their futility pre-Alvarez. You'd think they were USC, UF, or Texas the way they talk. Sickening.

Does it really matter? I mean come on, there is enough hate to go around. Why get into labels and rankings? Just enjoy the fact that we all hate them both. It brings us closer really..

They're kind of like children. You can hate them both equally- each in their own special way.

I don't think anybody here would disagree when I say the Monson era was a dark time for Gopher basketball. Tubby won the last two and now that he has his players he will dominate Wisconsin until he is gone. Bo had a nice run of winning the Big Ten and doing nothing in the tourney, but with the influx of good coaches into the Big Ten, he will be lucky to finish 5th in the conference from now on, but you can feel good that he will continue to bore everybody with his brand of basketball.

I'll spare you with the woes of the Vikes as they do not pertain to the board, but I think Gopher football is turning a corner and I bet you agree. Granted, you may just be a giant tool that spends his time bother him people he doesn't know, but you just might be estute enough to see the writing on the wall, so you are getting your shots in while you still can.

Are the Gophers tOSU? No. But neither are the Badgers. Believe me, the last 15 years of Wisconsin Football are just as insignificant to non-Badger fans as any title won 60 years ago. At least we can point to some hardware.

I would rather beat Wisconsin, but have a much stronger dislike for Iowa fans.
I think our rivalry is much better with Wisconsin due to basketball and hockey as well. I don't really feel that much of a basketball rivalry with Iowa and obviously Iowa doesn't have hockey.

How bout we dump Northwestern from the Big Ten and steal away Iowa St. and Missouri from the Big Twelve???

Whoever we're playing that week in whatever sport is whoever I feel the most vengeance for.

So...Northwestern didn't just win 9 games last season? Those Rose Bowl years not that long ago weren't enough to be able to stick around?

WISCONSIN!!!! Their fanbase is arrogant and ignorant. Even though Iowa fans are also annoying, I tolerate them more because I know that college sports is all they have in their state, so I guess I cut them a little slack.

Wisconsin is our bigger rival. We've played them more than Iowa, the rivalry extends to hockey & NFL, and they have more people moving to our state than Iowa. The only thing that makes it somewhat close is the overwhelmingly obnoxious way in which Iowans carry themselves.

Hate knows no boundaries

This is like asking which one I love more - my left nut or my right one?

The only correct answer is both.
